Damn, Mitchell had to go and spoil a loss by making back to back layups.

Butlers 5 years here have been pretty wild. Second best iteration of the Heat.

But now, unless he incorporates some cyborg parts into his anatomy, were on the hook...

Bam and Niko are a great pair to build with. We just need Niko to get reps and his experience up.

Jaquez should develop into either a starting quality SF, or a 6th man contender each year.

Herro is a question mark still. On his day, he's very good, but he's not a lead ball handler and can't be relied upon to consistently create high efficiency offense. He needs a PG to take the pressure off - perhaps that's Point Niko eventually, but for now he's not ready.

We need to clear the books a bit and find pieces that work together better. That probably puts Rozier on the block. It likely puts one of Herro or Duncan on the block.

There's a lot of ways we could go here. The Heat FO won't look to take a step back though. We'll always aim high and look to make the postseason, whether it's with the kids or the vets.

This is the best assessment. The only comment I have to add is that Bam is a PF, and Nico is an SF. Nico has talent, but he's just young.
As you said, clear the books. Trade Herro, Rozier, and Duncan. Get immediate draft capital. If we have to include JJJ in a trade, do it.

The Heat needs to get bigger. Just look at the first pick last year—a huge man with handling skills. This year, there are a few 7+ footers to pick and develop.

Would you all prefer to trade 2 1sts, Jovic or JJJ and a 1st, or JJJ and Jovic while keeping our 1sts for Mitchell?

Hard quesation IMO.

Normally I'd rather keep the players, both JJJ and Jovic gave us reasons for optimism.

BUT, and that's the bad part - our future picks might be higher picks then we learned to expect from this organization.

With Jimmy age, Bam and Herro limitations, and our inability to get a star to come here - we could easily miss the playoffs in the next few years and end up giving up lottery picks.

VERY dangerous waters ahead. Nothing worse then being bad and not keeping your highish picks.

The former. Shifting into a Bam-Mitchell window still serves Jimmy's remaining timeline while having a post-Jimmy foundation also. Gotta prioritize keeping one of the young guys that will be a sure starter, at minimum, with the Bam-Mitchell pairing.

Just curious, hard to gauge what is more valuable on the market if we need to make an upgrade and bring in like a do it all role player to plug in at the 2 or 4. Teams always love 1sts but JJJ and Jovic show promise that teams may prefer if it ever came to that. They’re also very cheap role players for us and we control the best 5/6 years of their future due to them being RFA in a couple years. At least we know we hit on those

Mitchell
JJJ
Jimmy
Jovic
Bam

Is definitely a nice mix for now and the future although for fit purposes Spo will likely tinker that and start Duncan, maybe let JJJ and Jovic lead the bench unit. Who knows what happens with Terry. I think we would benefit getting a Swiss Army knife veteran to play at the 2 or 4 that’s a bruiser and knocks down 3s on low usage then I like a guy like Duncan out there for spacing and elite shooting on low usage keeping the ball primarily in our best players hands

The guy is a generational talent, do you really need stats to see that? If not for injuries he is right up there with the Joker. You are going crazy Bammy, now i know you are going crazy.

Not hating, actually I am in favor of getting a bunch of draft picks for Bam if OKC wants him, we could rebuild and Bam will be in an excellent position to win a championship. You see I love Bam almost as much as you do

He is a generational CHOKE ARTIST!!!! He’s a great regular season player, when the playoffs get here he folds like a long chair. He’s lucky he got bailed out last night. Every single year in the playoffs he chokes in the biggest games and in the biggest moments, it never fails. To top it off he’s always hurt. There no inbetween
