That got us the trophy.. 1 play defines everything in the finals.

We still had a game after that and Bosh had zero points in that game. ZERO.

Basketball doesn't work like that. Otherwise what's the point of playing 48 mins, why don't we have games be 2 min long.
In a close out game, you can't leave it to chance when you are at home. You want to go the 4th holding a comfortable lead. The role players played well enough if these 2 showed, we would have had a cushion going to the 4th. We didn't and had to play from behind and we are counting on everything going right for us.

You can’t blame the poor shooting when you’re up in the game with three seconds left. Tatum was terrible from three tonight and the Celtics won tonight. You’re judged by your last play in tight games. That’s coaching, that’s execution.

This is literally what separates pros from amateurs. Professionals are expected to perform and execute to the tightest of margins. This was a horrific gaff in the end by Spo and Strus.

In a second consecutive playoff series against the Celtics, Bam’s number have reverted below his season averages.

-5 in points per game, -5 in Fg%. The legend of Timelord or Al Horford being his illegitimate father lives on.

I really can’t see how we emotionally recover from that to win this series. That was an all time gut punch.

Spo is not going to get fired, but his rep is about to take a major hit if it hasn't already.

Stop with the struss blame, yes he could've boxed out, but that wasnt the case. what just happened is pure luck. nothing else to it.

I love to see it. Spo knows.
Betting on Butler betting on Spo.
I go down with these guys lol

You understand they're just saying the right things as posturing and confidence to the team right

they already tried their best and failed for 3 games

the only thing saving us is Jimmy suddenly not playing like ass. Dont know what happened to "Himmy"

He's doing his damn job ,sir. Fall in line.

What else is he going to say, "our guys suck ass and we will lose?"

That's what you want in motivation? Lol

I remember the monster block he had in OT too.

But we still won. Without that rebounding the whole trajectory would have changed. Bam never came close to that impact.

Guys have to do their jobs. We're in the fix we're in now because too many guys haven't been doing that.

Uh, no. Highsmith rolls out of bed with crap in his eyes ready to play defense. Lowry. Love. Anyone else that played. Not Strus. Look at what he did on the inbound; back turned, runs away from the basket to double Tatum, couldn't recover to box out. The height of basketball stupidity. With 3 seconds left, you let the man nearest Tatum sprint and rotate to help, not run away from the inbounder. This is basic middle school basketball. You don't abandon the inbounder, they're the most dangerous player on the court.

Is this how the legend of Haywood Highsmith begins? Is there any evidence that he's even an above average defender?

Loving Spo's comments but Jimmy has to stop playing like ass for that to happen

the entire team feeds off of Jimmy. Even Bam. Bam is a follower.

If Jimmy is sucking, team has no momentum.

And there is ZERO chance that happens if he's the #2 on offense, instead of the #3. Like let's be serious.

Yes of course. That rebound won us a chip. So I'm gonna trust him in key situations.

Y'all need to chill out with this. Unless you can do it, just sit it out and let the pros do what they do

This dude is putting his body on the line, and even that you are not entitled to

No, you don't have to be an NBA athlete to know when someone isn't giving effort, he's not given much effort since he knew Miami was going up 3-0. Good lord, a lot of coaches weren't NBA players why are they coaching then?

It's usually pretty easy to see if Butler is giving effort or coasting for the game in the first quarter. I've watched him do this his whole career.

One positive for Miami - Butler did seem to get some of those butterflies (or whatever the hell) out at the end there. The Heat had the pressure of closing them out after being up. Now there shouldnt be any nerves.

Heat have a chance.

Just think about it, if Butler of Bam have any semblance of an ok game, not even a good one we win. Does anyone expect expect Butler and Bam to play this bad again? Yeah I think we blow the Celtics out in game 7, we no longer have any pressure to win.

And you're confident the role players show up in this fashion again for another game?
I'm certainly not.

You have to use these incredible games from your role players wisely. You now want them to be Herculean in a game 7 in a hostile environment???

Outrageous expectations on role players. Hell no they're not going to show up like they did tonight. Bam and Jimmy failed them all night. It's on those two to have a big game in Boston. Roleplayers perform at home. Very rarely do they perform on the road.

I mean, I honestly think the team will recover mentally but I’m just not sure we don’t get run out of the gym by hot shooting from the Celtics. They shot terribly and had a ton of turnovers today. We can obviously play better as well in some ways (Butler and Bam doing anything other than what they did tonight) but our role players played out of their minds for the most part tonight.
