Same thing was happening in 2012, the Spurs won their first 10 playoff games only to lose 4 straight to OKC.

If we face the spurs in the finals I don't know how anything less than 35/8/8 by lbj and us shooting near 50 percent near three will beat this team
I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

No they don't. They took the lead playing big. Scott Brooks is just an inept coachheatlespeatles wrote:cb1 wrote:That plus their two best players don't need spacing to score so they can have offense and defense in at once when they play big.wm3 wrote:OKC will forever stay in games because of the FT line

I feel the same way. **** the Thunder first I can't stand that part of the country overall and secondly I tire from the bull officiating that they are blessed with. I'd rather see the Spurs win except I know we'd bury the Thunder in a potential finals matchup...so tough.

Used to have African Studies with Kawhi at SDSU my sophomore year haha. Its crazy how much better he is then he was at State. His potential was always there but he was pretty raw. Popp has molded him into the perfect role player but he has potential to be more.

Before the Baka injury, I felt they had a great chance of getting to the Finals. With the injury, I'm still not ready to count them out, Game 1 should be telling.
I always go with game 2. Game 1's are always crazy. If OKC wins tonight, I'm not buying into any OKC hype. Without Ibaka it's literally a two man team now. Game 2 is where adjustments start, and after that is when laws of averages correct any hot starts (Danny Green last year). Westbrook/Durant would need a ridiculous series to win, like average over 70 points combined.
What makes 7 game series' so nice is that it removes the majority of luck or streaky teams moving on. The best team should come out, and barring TP"s injury being worse than they have led on, I think Spurs are clearly the better, more complete team.
Well....Game 1 was pretty damn telling to me.
OKC has NO answer for the Spurs defensively. Hopefully they figure something out so these guys aren't resting like it's summer...

Crazy how both of the two best players in this league LeBron & Durant teams are down 0-1 in their respective series

Dude those are DWADE vs. the Mavs in 06 kind of numbers. c'mon.
Plus LeBron struggled the first 7 games of career vs. San Antonio (in the finals)
So I wouldnt be surprised if it takes LeBron a game or two before he figures them out again and dominates them.
I think he can put 29/9/6. I'd be happy with that. That would be good enough to beat them.
Lets just beat the Pacers first.

Re: Around the NBA 9.0 (Playoffs Edition)
I am the same way. So I am not watching this series because I don't care either way. Beating the Pacers will probably be the most satisfying thing in this playoffs for me, and I have confidence in this Heat team to take care of business in the Finals.

Re: Around the NBA 9.0 (Playoffs Edition)
I actually see this Spurs-Thunder series going past 5 now. People of course are overreacting of 1 game but what's the odds of Duncan putting up 27 pts again & the Spurs shooting 52% from 3 each game? The law of averages will catch up with the Spurs. I still see the Spurs winning this series but i'm worried about them when the Thunder play big. When Collison was in the game at the start of the 3rd quarter OKC made a huge run & even took the lead. Crazy how many big guys OKC have that could play key roles on title contending teams in Collison & Adams. I wouldn't mind either of them in a Heat uni

Re: Around the NBA 9.0 (Playoffs Edition)
I'm rooting for the team that earned their wins, Spurs. I just can't stomach the thought of OKC heading back to the finals and winning. Anything can happen. I'd rather lose to the more historic and classy team in, San Antonio Spurs.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

Not sure they can replace Ibaka...
and when they had Harden he took pressure off KD/Westbrook.
Chances are they are going to be drained. Unless they go LeBron/Dwade vs. Indiana in 2012 the rest of the series.
