If we're trading both Highsmith and Wiggins, I want at least a FRP + 2 young assets in return. These boys are severely underrated because they play for the Miami Heat. They are both elite defenders in this league and can shoot the three ball.

If Wiggins was on the Lakers everybody would be saying teams need to trade at least 2 FRPs to acquire him - and that doesn't even include Highsmith.

I prefer Wiggins to stay in Miami.
I don't want him to Lakers even if he has a chance for a title there.

Miami is a situation where he will need to step up and take responsibilities.
19ppg is not enough for him and noone will be happy with him in Miami scoring only 19ppg.

I think this is exactly the situation that he needs.
A situation where the team demands from him more.

Give him a chance until the trade deadline.
20 games the last year were very few to judge a player.

Trade him in trade deadline if the team goes nowhere.
Evaluate him fairly first.
Give him some games to play healthy

The only thing that scares me about holding onto Wiggins is that we (the Miami Heat) have never (historically) been sellers at the deadline.

We had opportunities to sell high on Dion Waiters at the deadline, James Johnson, etc. etc. and we instead ended up giving these players big contracts to come back lol. Spo will want to push for the playoffs in February and I don't see us trading Wiggins for draft picks at that point.

It's why I'm hoping the Lakers do us a favour and just give us a FRP right now, before Pat and Spo change their mind on the direction of the team

That’s part of the issue though, we shouldn’t want more than 19PPG from Wiggins, if anything we need less. We’re not winning anything with this roster and we need as many reps as possibly going to Bam and Tyler as well as the young guys. Next season needs to be those 2 flirting with 20 shots a night while everyone else falls in line while getting solid reps. At this point he’s just stealing shot attempts and usage we don’t need going to a 30+ year old that has never been an efficient scorer. Not a knock on him, just not what we need and we need to accumulate assets for the next superstar who asks out, he might be able to help us get some.

If the Heat can trade him for a superstar I agree with that. Durant was that case and I didn't say anything.
But dont make a desperate trade to move him for Hachimura and a 2031 pick.

Wiggins can raise his value and trade him for a big player in the winter.
He may win the fan appreciation until then though, give him a chance.

The scoring is not the issue with Wiggins. Its the passing. He hasnt passed well out of double teams. Just maybe its the lack of comfort with the plays and teammates but a lot of times I think its inexcusable for a player his age. However, he should be ending plays moreso instead of setting them up where more doubles are likely to be seen.

Someone pull up Wiggins off ball and on ball scoring stats please

We’re getting Dame AND Beal for the vet minimum after trading for LeBron, Bronny, and Collins. Things are about to get real interesting out of nowhere

Lakers just signed their backup big, they now only need versatile wings who play both sides of the ball. Time to come off those assets

Why can’t we do Rui a chitty filler on an expiring and a first. I’d be down for that.

Come with me on this journey and let’s dream a little together about a team with older experienced players and younger hungry players. We sign Beal and Dame to vet mins, Trade Rozier and Wiggins for Lebron and Bronny, include the expiring contracts of Kyle and the Italian dude in a multi team trade for SRPs to sweeten the pot for Lakers. Leaves us with 15 guaranteed players and 2 two way players signed, with one slot left for a summer standout on a two way. Not sure anyone is left that can absorb them into a trade exception or something, but the idea is to shed Kyle and Fondue.

2025/2026 Miami Heat:

DMitch/Kaspar/Dame(injured)/Dru(2-way+injured)
Herro/Beal/Bronny
LeBron/JJJ/Pelle
Bam/Jovic/Highsmith/Keshad
Ware/Goldin(2-Way)/Love

If Beal gets bought out….it gets interesting…. Keep Wiggins unless were affected a 1st And a trade chip….

Ware Jovic
Bam Highsmith
Wiggins JJJ
Herro Rook
Beal Mitchell

Is an interesting squad.

See what Terry, Jovic, JJJ and a pick more 2 can get you.

If you can add a all star under 30 who you canon add to

Ware
Bam
Wiggins
Beal
Herro
Mitchell
Kasparas
Highsmith

Then you got a contender in the East

I'm not following the rumor mill closely but is there actually smoke to this LeBron to the Heat stuff or is it just posters daydreaming?

Return to Miami Heat
