I think the Hornets would instantly accept Lowry for Rozier.

Not sure how the new CBA changes things tho.
Dealing Dipo gives us some flexibility to take on contracts for Lowry but we won’t be saving much money with salaries having to match much closer now

The Heat mods need to set you up with a Real ID so you can tomfool freely and access federal buildings and such.
I saw who got him. Well above my pay grade lol
I knew it had to be a global mod of some sort. I hope it wasn't the big guy.

If our front office was killing it like Rapaz been killing it this offseason we'll be the favorite by now

Could the trade exceptions come into play here?

Exactly. I wouldn't be surprised if we this trade. Also, we're open a place for 10 million dollars.

I know we love Iced Cubanos on here but droppigndimes20 on Twitter has literally been getting everything right on Twitter for days now. Apparently he's plugged in via a major agency. Dude got the Bruce Brown, FVV, Whitmore dropping, nailed the top 5-10 of the draft, Harden opting in and requesting trade with Clips being target all before Woj/Shams. Also got Gabe getting strong interest from Raptors before them, too. He's been saying Dame to Miami is very likely lol. Just updated today saying "It's coming." regarding Dame -> Miami.
Some hopium for us lmao

How much did he sign for? I think he could have been a good addition for us off the bench

5 Mil$ might get a good player here, with a second year a player option
We are likely not using it. Hard caps and have to account for Herro’s 2.5 bonus

I'm amazed at how narratives drive people's perceptions. These guys had breakout years?

Show me. Find anything on there that even hints at any kind of breakout for either player.
If a lie gets repeated enough, people will just accept it without question.
Personally, I find actions/efforts to try to degrade the outgoing guys who absolutely gave their all and helped us win to be cringe af
It's not over valuating your own players. They are who they are is the point. Yes you can thank them for getting hot at certain key points in the season... say play-in game 2 where Strus hit 31 and Gabe got hot a number of games in the playoffs but these guys didn't show up much when Miami lost the last 7 of 9 playoff games. They're streaky guys that got hot at good times and you know what, if Miami keeps developing players(which they will) new guys will show up that are streaky and may get hot at certain points when it's needed.
Miami is in a unique situation with 2 stars that are defensive players that really don't look for their own shots like normal stars do, this allows the lesser players offensive roles to get propped up and with that they're going to get stats. Look at Richardson who just got brought back, he almost averaged 17 a game for Miami his last year and since then once near 14 but mostly hovering around 10 ppg while in his prime. I'd expect he's going to contribute way more than that 10ppg next year for Miami based on his role on a team with 2 stars who aren't looking for their shots.

I wonder with the new rules if the 7 mil gap between the two contracts is allowed.

Yup now your asking Portland to deal with Duncan’s contract and beg a third team to take on Herro but never thought Lowry and Dipo was going to work in the first place either
Or the 3rd team is sending part of the salary going back to Portland along with Lowry. There are still multiple angles to do this. It doesn’t have to hinge on moving Duncan.

Danny Green would be a nice replacement for Strus.

You're the 2nd poster to say that and OK ... but I don't get it. I rip guys on OUR team. I'm certainly not holding my fire on opposing players which is what they are now. I don't feel like I owe players gratitude for doing the job they are paid to do. Often times not very well. But mostly I don't get objecting to calling bull on claims of great performance by simply pointing at the data and saying "show me".
Neither guy is good. Neither played well consistently. Their overall body of work makes clear that nothing of value was lost. I'm sorry if that upsets people, but I'm not getting gaslit into believing that up is down and down is up, and I'm not going to get pressured into remaining silent so that others can get gaslit without pushback.
Some people enjoy sports as an outlet to degrade and berate the players on the very team they’re presumably rooting for. I find it strange and cringe af. But I understand the dynamic exists.

Maybe we can pick up John Wall or Cory Joseph for PG depth. Let Lowry be the backup to one of them and bring back one of the G-league players such as Dru Smith or Bouyea to be 3rd string.

Minimum I take it. Don’t know a whole lot about him though other than he was a high draft pick who’s a bone head
