Ayton is FA in 2yr, I could see POR moving on from him or dealing him next year and a tandem of Clingan\Ware would be nice moving forward and fit with younger core.

Wasn't it rumored that Miami had part of thee Lillard set up with Herro going to a 3rd team for 2 1sts? So let's go with Herro moved and Miami got 2 1sts.

Had Miami not sent out a 1st with Lowry for Rozier, you would have 1 more.

So, it would seem that it was possible Miami would have 3 more 1sts this summer, to go with the 1 it currently has and could have also drafted and traded the rights of their 1st round pick this year... for a grand total of 5 1sts this summer available to be moved.

Miami's FO likes their players way too much.

The best course of action for Miami right now is to do nothing, and see how the year pans out

If you can move Herro for future assets without taking on salary into the 26 offseason you do it as soon as you have the opportunity

Other than that you guys will just have to stay patient, and wait. The summer of 26 will be the time to move, the only thing we can do now is hinder our ability to make that pivot.

In a perfect world Jimmy opts in next offseason and plays out his contract, under no circumstance short of a final run this year would I want him extended. Let this build and some of these contracts die.

You want to attack that offseason with 2 full max contracts available

Right now you guys need to stop complaining and understand the front office is probably with this mindset. Now if they make a move and extend some older vet out past 26 you can go into full panic mode, because at that point I have zero clue what the direction is.

FO has no choice but to take at least 1 more year out of Duncan's contract. He would be easier to trade him next year for his expiring.

Herro and Duncan's trade armor are too strong lol
