Is that good for GSW?

Better fit next to Curry and Thompson then D-Lo was.
The question is, can they fix his motor, the whole organization will be aligned to do that, unlike in Minnesota.

GSW turned losing KD to nothing to Andrew Wiggie, decent FRP, and SRP.

not great, but not horrible all things considered. Wiggie at least could try to co-exist with Curry and Klay while Angelo was very redundant

If Giannis doesn't sign his max this summer, they have a good amount of picks to throw at Milwaukee for Giannis and possibly Wiggins if they can fix that motor issue.

Warriors are done. This was their nail in the coffin. They had some hope with Dlo and their 2020 lottery pick. Now they just have Wiggins, it’s over for them.

Kind of a head scratcher. Wiggins is a bum and has a horrific contract

2019-20 $27.27
2020-21 $29.29
2021-22 $31.31
2022-23 $33.33

And if the cap is reduced in the near future... yikes

It will be next season because of the HKG debacle

What happened to Crowder between ages 26 and 29 to go from a 46.3/39.8/81.1 shooter to a 36.8/29.3/78.9 one. He is still in his prime. Is he out of shape? Does he just need to be on a team where he is asked to do less and get to a spot? Because if he can shoot near 40% from three on 5+ attempts a game and play D the way I think he does, he would be valuable here.

That Wiggins contract is awful and he’s soft as butter! And some of y’all wanted us to trade for him.

If they can fix him they can move him in the future(or keep him).
In Minnesota the owner asked Wiggins to be better, he said sure and was handed a max contract, in GS the whole organization will be aligned and demand him to be better.

no amount of picks will justify losing Giannis for Wiggie as a centerpiece imo

The current version of Wiggins you're absolutely correct, but when he's trying, giving good effort, has his head on right he's a really good player but that doesn't happen all that often during a game. An organization that is unified on making Wiggins better has a shot at getting something good out of him. GS and Miami are about the only organizations currently that I think could "possibly" fix him.

I guess they can try but he's a 6th year vet at this point who spent his formative years immersed in MIN's losing culture. He has terrible habits on the floor -- everything from pure laziness/indifference to low BBIQ -- and old habits tend to die hard, especially when the player in question doesn't even seem to understand or enjoy basketball. His advanced metrics are a horror show both for his career and every individual season to this point

How in the hell did Solomon Hill get his contract and Crowder his? I'd have expected the reverse.

With about 1 1/2 hours left, it's all quiet on the Heat front. Not even the "insider" (*cough*) twitter guys are posting anything. Looks like that might be it for us.

I guess as much as Wiggins is blasted and as much as D'Angelo helped his brand last year, they are pretty even this season: http://bkref.com/tiny/MRGF3

Similar age, similar salary, similar stats, similar overall effect on the game on similarly bad teams, so it becomes about fit plus the picks they got.

Wiggins is tall and long and helps them play some small perimeter ball and probably has more potential to tap in a good environment.

On the other hand, Draymond Green going to tear him one if he doesn't show up.

Return to Miami Heat
