Um... you now have black clouds hanging over multiple players instead of just one.

If that players name isn't Jimmy, Bam, or Herro it doesn't matter. I know you were one of the main two or three advocates screaming not to extend him until the summer (or trade him) but you just going to have to get over it big dog.

Let the reality sink in and realize we will be using a pick or two to dump this salary. The 2023 pick next year is pretty much gone in any package.

I'm fine, I'm still laughing about the Robinson contract I also said for Miami not to do, I can wait.

There's becoming a nice big list of overpaid Miami players.

$30M to a guy who’s one dimensional, can’t play defense and is a habitual playoff choker…Dion and James Johnson were better deals…

Chrisitian is right. Lowry is getting shipped out for a big expiring like I have been saying for a while now.

Do we reroute those picks and westbrooks expiring for a major upgrade? Lillard finally has enough after he passes Drexler in scoring?

Nope. Start looking a big expiring contract upgrades.

No, Miami has to cut salary for next season, they have way too much on the books, have to bring in expirings.

I wonder how long it'll be before Herro starts to get vocal about needing the offense built around him.

I’ll be surprised if that happens. That isn’t what Miami is about and we have better players. As long as he is close to the top in attempts, starting, and getting his minutes he’ll be happy.

I will say he’s going to have to play out if his mind to be an all star and we’re going to have to be the top seed to get a chance at 3 all stars.

A contract is bad when you can't move. The benefit of Herro is that he's still young, 22 and is a multi-dimensional scorer. And with the cap going up a lot next year, his salary as a % of it isn't that big. I think you will be able to find a buyer for Herro if you need.

Issue with Duncan, he's good at one thing, has no star potential, is older and he was average on the one thing he's good at last season.

Not saying Herro contract not a risk but its far less of a risk than Duncan or Lowry.

I’d be so sick to see Jimmy go but a sign and trade in 2 years for JB wouldn’t surprise me at all. I still think we try to get Bams best friends here and form a big 3 in 3-4 years

The cap is expected to go up 10 million, which incredibly is the amount Butler, Bam, Lowry and Robinson's salaries are going up next year. You can now plug Herro's money in there and expect to see Oladipo walk if he opts out next year. I guess you can get expirings for Lowry and Robinson this year with very little assets going out... maybe.

Oh no... I've got a huge smile on my face, I love this. You guys are getting exactly what you've wanted for 2 seasons vs actually try to win a championship. This is awesome, Miami couldn't find anyone to give up much for Herro so they could land KD so hand him 25-32 mil a year, it's so Miami. I haven't been this happy since Minnesota fans got their wish of maxing out Wiggins and he scored nearly 24 a game at age 21.

It's alot of money for little boy Tyler. He better prove he deserves it.
So I've been out for a while, what's the word on the Heat cap situation? Are we 100% going to bring expiring deals in a trade?

2023-2024
Butler 45mil
Bam 32.6 mil
Lowry 29.6 mill
Robinson 18.1 mil
Herro (~25mil)
5 players ~150

Players that need to be paid next offseason...
Strus, Vincent, Yurtseven, Oladipo(if he opts out).

Yeah, players are going to be moved for expirings or just watch talent leave for nothing while signing minimums to go with those 5 plus Jovic.

I guess this is what we're going to get the new few months, the return of passive aggressive P lol.

Return to Miami Heat
