I always suspected that a Rozier n Herro backcourt wouldn’t work so it’s no surprise that the fit has looked awkward.
I’m on the side of moving Herro to the bench and basically allowing him to be given the keys to the offense when Spo staggers him and Jimmy.
Rozier and Bam should be allowed to develop pnr chemistry with Duncan in the lineup to provide spacing.
Yeah but the problem is you are then destroying what ever little value Herro has left. Pat sold signing Herro as being a star, as being a value move, he called him Booker 2.0. Now with him coming off the bench we continue our tradition of horrible moves by our front office. 180 mil for Lowry and Duncan, now 120 mil for Herro the bench player.
It's easier to sell Terry as our 6th man for the rest of the season and then try to address the problem by trading Herro in the offseason vs lowering whatever value Herro currently has for Terry. Again it just makes Pat look horrible since he fought and wanted Herro.
I mean if you suck you suck though, you shouldn’t be gifted a starting spot based on contract alone. Hes not a good fit either with Terry being the only PG, he’s literally the odd man out
Herro doesn’t “suck”. It is a stretch he’s going through.
Bam is going through a stretch now, does he “suck as well? Of course not.
We as fans need to complement our player for the sake of trade value. If we continue with such hateful negative vibes, what do you think other fan bases would feel taking on our players.

If Nets can't get a deal done I believe they would be willing to give Dinwiddie for Duncan Robinson, and I would do it

Not if Herro plays well or merely better than what he has been as a starter this season.
Shooters will always have value so I have no doubt that if Mia wanted to move him, that they could.
He might not have the value to be the centerpiece of a return for a “star player” but it’s been proven the last 2 off seasons that it’s already the case that he doesn’t possess that kind of value.

He’s got a 5 year stretch of being an inefficient chucker and not being a good fit in the starting lineup.
Bam yes is going through a rough stretch after carrying the first 40 games of the season, that’s a legit stretch. He also impacts the game far more outside of scoring which he has been rebounding defending and playmaking at an elite level regardless of the shaky scoring stretch. Herro is in no way comparable to Bam, Bam is tiers and tiers above him as a player so I’m not sure what you were getting at with that one

This is what I don’t understand when people say he’ll value. If he moves to the bench and plays well and better than his 6MOY season and the team is winning and competing for a championship because everything flows better now how is that hurting his value?
Hes showing he can play solid basketball on a contending team that is translating to wins, he just wasn’t the best fit for our starters, that may not be the case somewhere else

It's becoming more obvious Patrick and Tyler are super tight and he likes him a lot. Both Kentucky alumni btw

So you’re telling me the 6th seed could get us a 1st round matchup with the what look to be broken Bucks, then a potential 2nd round matchup with the untested, young, “the lights were too bright” Cavs before facing the Celtics in the ECF again?
Man Pat better be locked tf in right now

We need what the Mavs need. A god damn stretch 4 or 5 who can move their feet. I can't watch another offensive rebound missed by the itty bitty midget PF committee.

Unless the Heat can get a legit 2nd option they are cooked, they are giving insane money to two role players in Bam/Herro and Scary Fairy, Miami is and has been a Big 1 not a Big 3, honestly fi they were smart they will sucker some team to take Bam before they offer him a idiotic max or super max. Majority of the Heat playoff success is cause teams in the East Jimmy Butler has a complete mental strangle hold over and due to fear (rightfully so in some ways) he does whatever he wants. The teams in the West have zero fear of Jimmy teams like the Suns/Nuggets/Clippers even Twolves have guys who don't fear Jimmy and can match his physicality. If Miami was in the West they are a play in or 1st round exit team at best.
It's going to be hard to sucker a team into taking Herro but Bam they can try get packages around Lauri/whatever or something similar. Team needs a major shake up and do the right thing by Butler and try win him a ring and a Herro trade is not enough.

Re: Miami Heat Regular Season Thread 5.0 - Somebody save us
Matt Moore was a guest on Locked On Heat today. I just watched it and he doesn't seem to think the Heat will do much of anything. He said it's out there that they are potentially looking if anything to try to save and cost cut so far. He did say that if they were to try and do something with Herro the team to watch would be mainly Brooklyn along with Utah as those are two teams that not only would take Herro but actually like him as we've heard in the past. Not sounding too promising anything of substance happens though...

I love the options from "Inside the Heat":
* Santi Aldama 6'11" Center - He's way too tall for us.
* Simone Fontecchio 6'7" LOL
* Naji Marshall 6'6" can play C for Spo Small Ball
* Saddiq Bey... Ow man...
* Yuta Watanabe
Rumors: Rozier...
I'm going back to bad. This is just too much.
