Was this butlers idea to not play half the season? Hope he gets traded. Do not want him on heat anymore and I do think playoff Jimmy is no more

On this weeks episode of Sitting on a Cactus, fans are Wiggin out over the Butlers lack of service and malcontent behavior. All he wants to do is make coffee and nothing else. Rather than Butler, he now goes by Coffee Man. In the meantime, across the nation, fans are also getting Draysperate and are coming to terms that they have a Beal (Noun: A small, inflammatory tumor) that they may not be able to get rid of. In a surprising turn of events, they are also finding out there is a snake in their house and are looking to get rid of it. Perhaps both can help each other and swap coffee man for the snake. Either way, it seems there are thorns in our cheeks and all parties are working to get them out!

Don’t let the puns and allusions distract you. The biggest hidden message here is that Spo is hiring Rod Thorn and Mo Cheeks as assistants. :o

The only thing that remotely makes sense for the Suns that involves Durant going to the Warriors is if they not only get Butler but also get Jovic attached due to the salary parameters. Jovic would be the most talented player who fits a position of need that the Suns could get since he only makes 2.4 million this year. The Heat would obviously be getting some combination of Kuminga, Wiggins, and multiple 1st rd picks between the Warriors and Suns. Not sure how realistic it is for us to be giving up Jovic but this would seem to be the only path that makes sense for the Suns due to their books and not being able to aggregate players. Would the Suns be tempted to do Butler, Jovic, 2030 1st rd pick from us? This is what Bammy's hopes and dreams are laying on. The Warriors counter to that offer is Wiggins, Kuminga, the salary fillers and more picks. Maybe we end up the the Warriors combination of players and picks like what's being rumored. Been working the trade checker a bunch and the situation is rather complicated. Wizards could get involved giving us Brogden and Valenciunas heading to the Warriors with Durant. The left over contracts and some 2nd rd picks would be heading over there.

Been crunching scenarios that get us max value with picks but unfortunately it involves Jovic heading to the Suns with Butler. This would then trigger Warriors and Suns giving us picks in order to complete the deal. Butler and Jovic is an exact match that even remotely makes this worth while for the Suns for Durant as it gives them there starting 4 in Jovic at 2.4 million and Butler at SF.

If only Jimmy put his ego to the side and didn’t have his head so far stuck up his ass, KD could’ve potentially requested a trade to Miami to team up and try to win a championship here considering we were his 2nd option when he went to the Suns and we’d give him a far better chance of winning than the Warriors

Trade checker scenario I've been working on has Rozier and Highsmith heading to the Wizards. Brogden would be coming here and Valencuinas to the Warriors. Kuminga, Wiggins, and Brogden would be heading here with multiple 1st rd picks.

Windy says one thing is for certian, Bradley Beal will not be traded and remain a Sun and Curry will not be traded and remain a Warrior. There is talks of a three way deal Butler going to Suns, Durant to Warriors

If Jovic and Ware are on the table, I'd rather send Durant to you guys. You'd still have J³, Herro and Bam.

Why would Ware be on the table for geriatric Durant?

Nothing new given the imbalanced state of the roster, but man it's becoming more and more apparent game after game that Miami has almost zero available players that can press on a ballhandler without getting walked by into the paint. The Bam-Ware defensive impact can only do so much when that's the case. We saw it against Portland and again against Chicago last night, how comfortable every opposing perimeter player was getting into rhythm looks effectively unbothered by Miami defenders. When you let teams play so comfortable, they're gonna start making shots like its a practice shoot around.

The reality is this doesn't need to be solved this season, but it's pretty clearly essential for Miami to get some perimeter dawgs by next season. Dru Smith was obviously proving to be the pest defender that can ride in a ballhandler's hip across the court. Pelle has shown those traits. But, of the active rotation players it's basically only Highsmith (and even he sinks and uses his length to recover with guards).

Herro is the only active perimeter player that offers enough other stuff to balance out that deficiency.

Wouldve been nice to have Durant about 10 years ago.

I doubt Ware is on the table at this point. Too much team upside with him on the roster.
