Only thing Shaq's 20 million per year has been earning this season is 6 fouls per game.

Blount's also playing better than Russell, Kareem, Moses, Olajuwon, and Wilt right now.

You mean how they would play right now? Because that's not a clever joke, it's true.

That was seriously be a dream come true if he demanded a trade. We'd get his horrible contract out of town, open the way for DeAndre Jordan to develop, and hopefully get another pick in return and some decent player with a really high contract that only lasts one more season.

With Noah in the doghouse with the entire team and the fans upset with Ben's production, this one works...

Shaq

for

Ben
Noah
Duhon

Shaq would be motivated since he's surrounded by shooters, but they'd have to get a vet coach.

I would think we might have to give a #2 pick to sweeten it, even though a motivated Shaq with Gordon, Hinrich, Deng and Nocioni equals Finals and maybe championship. I take that team over Boston or Detroit.

Meanwhile, we get Zo clone in Ben until Dwyane expires and Noah can learn from and maybe replace Haslem eventually. Many here have felt Duhon would be a nice fit here. Turn that team over to Spoelstra, trade Ricky & JWill for TPEs and draft picks, draft Rose or Beasley and we're not too far away.

I dunno, Pax was scared to pull the trigger for KG and Pau, I don't see him doing it for Geri-Shaqtric

^He's been proven to be a moron re KG. But I understand the Pau resistance. He wouldn't be the answer there. But Shaq, even in present condition, would draw doubles and pass out to these guys who can be money. Main concern would be how they can afford to pay Deng and Gordon if it all works out well, but it is Chicago and I assume they'd hit the tax for a champion. The time would be now though, before Boston wins anything.

Yah Pax is quite the scardy cat but the way things are going right now he may not have an option but to step up to the plate and grow some nuts

I've been waiting to see how Pax would do as GM when he stopped getting free lottery picks and had to start paying and trading guys. He's had it relatively easy until now with the Bulls flying under the radar before competing (and surprising) the last couple years.

This is the time that defines a good GM: taking the next step on your own.

Wallace is making alot of money to play pretty poor.. But if Shaq wants out he fills the void Shaq leaves, and we pick up some nice young players.. PG/Cook-Wade-Wright-Beasley-Wallace -- Sounds good to me

Instead of paying Wallace $44 mil over 3 years to play bad, why not pay PJ $10 mil over one to not play at all?

To trade for Shaq, a team only has to send out $16 mil. If PJ gets signed for 120% of his last contract (avoiding BYC status), for 3 years, with only the 1st garranteed, Chicago only needs to send another $5,728,000 which is Duhon/TT or Duhon/Noah/Curry or Gray

This would give Miami the capspace next year to sign 2 top tier free agents, plus a top 5 draft pick to add to:
Duhon/Quinn
Wade/Cook
Wright
Haslem
Noah/Blount

Chicago gets Shaq for Noah (who's in the dog house) and Duhon (a good back-up). Yes they take on a lot of salary, but a Shaq/Wallace combo at the C would be awesome, at least for a year or 2.

They're upset about Wallace's production for the money the way we are with Shaq's. But they can;t carry two monster contracts and have money to pay Deng and Gordon in addition to Hinrich and Nocioni. The good thing about Ben's deal is it was front loaded, so it is $14.5 next and $14 year after - much more tradeable piece for piece if need be than $20M (see Marbury).

OMG, what a bunch of ungrateful $%^^&. I HOPE shaq is traded.....

BTW.. How many games have the heat won this year without Shaq??

Stop blaming Shaq for this teams struggles.... Blame the greedy ownership that couldnt even resign what we had... Hoping that an old Shaq and an injured wade alone could carry a team to the playoffs and make it contenders.... this team is a JOKE, theres no chemistry, no talent, no good coaching.. this team is a mess ans this is NOT Shaq's fault....

+1 on a Shaq trade.... time to leave this boat.. He already bring the Ring here.. lets Win one more somewhere else.. hes not wanted here.. so... like you al say.. lets move on!

No, the 20 million is part of a much larger contractual agreement; it is not a one year deal.

I'm a Shaq fan, and I think a change of scenery would be good for him. Over his career he has needed some insane levels of motivation to the best out of him, and being traded by a franchise that welcomed him like Miami did would probably get his butt back in gear, at least for 1 or 2 seasons.

I would rather see him kick arse here, and I thought getting swept in the first round, and all the off-season problems at home would channel him and all his anger and determination into working hard, but it's clear that he's just too comfortable here.

As for Miami, I want to see them thrive post-Shaq, cause Wade is just one of those nice guys that deserves to win. I still follow the Lakers, and love watching Kobe play, but I'd rather Wade's team win another ring than Kobe's atm.

Return to Miami Heat
