yea man, losing is so **** frustrating if you're a competitive person.

If I had a 15 game losing streak in pick-up games I would pull all my hair out.

He needs to work on improving his game, like he did after his rookie season, and after the 04/05 season.

I can't think of a better place to work on your game than with some of the best players in the world. Imagine getting to learn and practice against LeBron, Kobe, JKidd...etc

As sad as it is, the Pacers are the 8th seed right now with a 42.2 win %. That is on pace for a 34.6 wins. Using 35 wins as the playoff mark, Miami would have to go 26-14 the rest of the way. It isn't likely, but it sure is far from impossible. (Think of it this way: at the start of the season we all would have said it would be impossible for Miami to go 8-33. I would have even gone as far as to say if both Shaq and Wade got injured and missed a month or two, the team still wouldn't do that poorly.)

all very true

one 7-10 game winning streak and in the East ANY team is right back in the middle of the pack vying for a playoff seed. how sad, how sad.

a team under .500 should not be able to qualify for the postseason.

We have beaten 2 teams by 2 (Indy, Utah), 1 team by 3 (Knicks), 3 teams by 4 (Phoenix, Minnesota, New Jersey) 1 team by 6 (Clippers), 1 team by 7 (Houston) and 1 team by 20 (Charlotte).

Indy was missing Jermaine O'Neal, Utah was missing Okur, New Jersey was missing Vince Carter. Even Knicks were missing Zach Randolph. The other teams (Minnesota, Clippers) are among the worst in the league. We probably don't beat that NJ team without Penny Hardaways 16 points on 4-4 threes, NY without his 5p/5r/6a/4s statline either. Only Houston and Phoenix were decent wins against full strength playoff level teams at or near full health. Our best, and only blowout win of the season was the 20 point win against Charlotte, who are only 7 games ahead of us.

2 close wins against quality teams at full health (Houston, Phoenix)
1 close win against a quality team near full health (Utah - Okur)
2 close wins vs mediocre teams missing star players (NJ, Indiana)
1 blowout win vs a mediocre team (Charlotte)
3 close wins vs the worst teams in the league (NY, Minnesota, Clipps)

We have in that time lost our backup center and gone from one of the better defensive squads to one of the worst as a result, gone on a 15 game losing streak, barely scraped in this last win and now we are going for the playoffs?

Please hurry up mathematical elimination. Is not logical elimination enough for us? Even if we somehow managed to go 32-8 (.800) we'd be so fat on ourselves from that win streak that Boston or Detroit would tear us a new first round arsehole.

If the Heat somehow managed to squeak into the playoffs as the 8th seed (which has a 1/3409384028340382304823049832409328402834083 chance of happening) and lose the draft pick, I will hate myself and hate the team for the rest of eternity.

THAT would be so much worse than not making the playoffs.

What it's worst is that they think they have a shot and could actually get a nice streak going, win a few games and BOOM!! just like that we miss the playoffs and have horrible chances of landing a top 5 pick.

Heh, I like his attitude, but let's see what will be said after a game against Boston, Orlando, Detroit, LA Lakers, and Denver before the All Star game.

If we manage to win 3 of those 5 games, then who knows. The Heat may be going streaking, and not the way some of the fans had planned.

Haha, it's almost unfathomable that after a month-long, 15-game losing streak, both Minnesota and Seattle still have worse records than us. lol

It would be far worse to just miss the playoffs, have a 10-14th pick, take an iffy player who doesn't help us next year, we suck just as bad next year, and give Minnesota a better pick (11-14) next year, or keep that pick too, get another non-impact player in the draft, suck completely in Shaq's last season, and give them an unprotected pick the following year that is top 5 or something.

Best to suck this year, get an impact player in the draft, be awesome next year and give Minnesota a 20-30th pick in next years draft.
