Lasme steals the pass, to Ahearn, who then passes it behind his back to Jones for the dunk. Now we're getting somewhere.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

that was the best play in ages

Eric Reid made mention Riley is trying to bring back the old school Heat philosophy of hard nosed defensive role players that used to be the Heat trademark (like Anthony, Lasme and Jones) - I hope some stick here. Heat have an option on Anthony's contract for next season.

Blake Ahearn is just assassinating the Washington interior defense.

From Ira's blog on this game:

"This season-long beard competition between the Wizards' DeShawn Stevenson and the Bulls' Drew Gooden is getting out of hand. At one point in the second quarter, Muggsy Bogues fell out of Stevenson's beard."

LOL.

I read somewhere that Riles said JoEL Anthony reminds him of Ben Wallace when he first came into the league as a raw player. I remember when Orlando did the sign & trade for Grant Hill and Ben Wallace was part of the trade and it looked like the Pistons got robbed.

I could see that comparison... both have that natural shot blocking instinct that can't be taught. Ben was relentless in rebounding and shot blocking, and was more athletic than Joel is I think, but definitely comparable in skill set.

Me and my buddy were giving DeShawn crap the whole game for his beard. Finally, towards the end he looked at my friend and said "Why don't you cut your hair, Hanson", despite his hair only being a couple of inches long. I retaliated by exclaiming how great of a band the Hanson's were, leading to an eruption of laughter from Gilbert and the rest of the bench.
