I would agree with u if Brand wasn't coming off major surgery and shown he can stay healthy for an entire year. Plus Brand is similar in age to Marion, and in my opinion u don't bypass the chance to get a building block like Beasley who can be with this franchise for the next decade unless u get back a proven young all star back. This is the highest pick this franchise has ever had and i would hate to watch Beasley become a perennial all-star with another team and regret what could have been.

My question about Beasley is can he play extended minutes at the 3 as well as the 4? Does drafting him allow us more flexibility to trade Marion? Can he play next to Haslem effectively?

Is using Beasley at the 3 similar to using Toine at the 3? If thats the case, I wouldn't want to see Beasley defend someone like Caron for an entire game.
