Great move by the Sixers. He was that missing piece that should catapult them past everyone except for Detroit and Boston.

Glad he could finally leave LA. That's the 2nd time he's signed somewhere besides LA. I'm glad he's free.

And finally, anybody willing to move Beasley and Marion for Brand is a disservice to society.

Brand's move was all about escaping the hectic West to come play in our JV league. And, as aforementioned, he'll probably get more all-star votes out here.

Best years are gone? He is in his prime now and for the next 3-4 years at least.
Injury prone? He has had like 1 major injury in 9 seasons.
Undersized? He is not your typical 6'8-6'9. He has no freaking neck and a HUGE reach and a built body. It shows in his career blocks (over 2 per game) and rebounds (over 10 a game) plus the guy makes over half his shots, playing in the paint.

I dunno, the guy has been playing in the West so long, but he'd probably have been a 7 time all-star by now if he'd stayed East.

Yea but I have a feeling he won't ever be as good as he was before the injury. I might be wrong, but to me his prime is past him. I was saying over 30 as in by the year 2010.

His numbers are incredible, but he RUPTURED an ACHILLES TENDON!! Remember Marino after that or anyone after that? A player in any sport is never the same, basketball requires more use of the achilles than any sport I'd imagine.

We will see, i think he will be an all-star anyway, but not some superstar player to plan years around, clearing cap room to get him.

Yes, he was never the same. Here is proof....first game back after the achillies injury:

Only managed 473 yards and 5 TDs....Washed up!
