I think we’ll see a better showing in game 2 across the board. Awful game. Smart can GTFO. Like a crappier Westbrook out there.

I appreciated that highsmith was playing team ball and staying within a role. Jovic never really had any opportunity to do anything offensively this game as a lot of his minutes occurred during Smart's one man attempt to shoot out the lights (and failing). I didn't like the lack of foot speed on defense that I saw from Jovic. There were a lot of moments of hesitancy from him which for one game is ok, but is something to keep an eye on moving forward. Despite the fact it became a travel I did like the pump fake into the drive when the lane became available.

Since nobody on this roster can create an advantage and pass Jovic the damn ball, I'd like to see if they find just 1 big capable of setting a decent screen and let Jovic be ON ball.

I want to see him operate with the ball in space, I think there's something there. his size/passing/handle combination is what we should explore.

That game yesterday was an absolute joke.

Prior to the game starting, I was watching highlight videos on Haywood Highsmith wondering to myself, What did this guy do to earn a multi-year deal? Even after the game I still asked myself this. Now I'm asking myself the same question about Mychal Mulder and Ja'vonte Smart. What were the Heat thinking? The roster is tied up with these 3 not including Haslem, 4 and Jovic looks a long ways away from being effective.
