Would Minnesota trade a D-Lo package for Kyrie now or possibly look to get Westbrook and some picks?

Durant is one of the best players in the world, but Mitchell is younger and you can build around him for years. We'll work on his defense. And you have a core of Mitchell and Bam to build around.

Utah not going to want Lowry are you kidding me? It’s Herro, Duncan, Yurt, and 3 picks

If we do get Mitchell, is there a trade to get out of Lowry's contract? I'd imagine he'll likely be the starting PG, which would look great on paper next to Mitchell, Jimmy, and Bam, but he's old and beat up.

Riley seems to do his best work mid season at the trade deadline hunting for disgruntled players on a down year to get them on the cheap. Time and time again, these are the deals that get done for Miami. This season likely isnt different. Can easily see a minor move and then a big one at the deadline mid season.

I will say I am tired of being abused by stars in the offseason, whether is a FA or a major trade. We seem to get leveraged all the time. Giannis, KD already once, Hayward, come to mind recently.

Kyle Lowry is an incredible locker room presence and veteran for young guys, and a reliable player and clutch performer. Utah would be lucky to have him. Jazz fans, Ainge, please accept our congratulations for acquiring him in a trade from us.

I think I am one of the few that thinks they are less likely to trade Mitchell now.

Mitchell and Rudy didn’t get along. I think they took offers for both and picked the best one. I think they keep the other, in this case Mitchell.

***Update from the madness. Ok this one was a long phone call this afternoon I got more juicy news.

I am gonna break this out on things verified by my contact and things he is hearing from conversations at the office.

Confirmed:
1. Dipo had a 2Year 9.5M per year on the table with a player option on the 2nd he rejected that was tentatively. From Dipo himself not his agency, he wanted a firm 1 year. He feels like he is gonna break out and gonna go earn himself a multi year long term.
Was promised a firm 6th man role with the possibility of earning starter position based on his play. Hes top priority is playing minutes.

2. Yesterday around 4pm shortly after Durant's news hit social media there was call into the top brass from the Clippers they did not request Miami to put together a trade packet but they did enquire about if Miami was interested in Helping facilitate Durant to LA with Paul George heading to Miami. Clippers haven't contacted Miami since then.

3. The GM of the Brooklyn Nets desperately wants this hoopla to end and is trying to expediate this process as best as he can. However the ownership side wants all the cards on the table and want to be involved in this transaction personally which is who is pushing this decision farther down the calendar. The GM has a good relationship with Durant but Ownership can give two fcks about what he wants at the moment. Miami is in the top 2 of choices based on current packages sold to the Brooklyn where Durant would like to go. However Brooklyn told the top teams trying to get Durant there are 2 other teams with better packages than those talked about in the media currently. This is the part that is Unverifiable as this could be a bluff on Brooklyn's part last night those teams they mentioned was the Pelicans & OKC, however the packages aren't known. Durant does not want to go to any of those teams. Additionally Philly has fallen way down the list to the point they may not have a chance, Durant found a way to get word back to their front office that he wants nothing to do with the Beard. Any trade involving him means Harden has to GTFO. The decision will not be made this weekend and more likely expected next upcoming week.

4. Utah Jazz are being a lot more aggressive is sending out feelers to teams on their players being available. The conversation from the office is that Utah is going to take advantage of a team left holding the bag for the Durant sweepstakes and will get that deal for Spida instead with a few heavy bidders who struck out. It is believed that a deal is already in place for Utah's center and should be released this afternoon. ***Edited LOL*** took me a while to type this and eat my sandwhich I post it and literally the trade is done   . Gotta be more like WOJ or SHAMs in speed I guess.

5. Portland had a mid level trade setup with Miami for Duncan, that is now on hold until the Durant or Spida find a new home, they don't want to risk offloading him if he can be used to match salaries. It is absolutely true that Duncan is viewed very poorly and offers very little interest in a straight up trade.

6. LA Lakers contacted Miami this morning asking for their involvement in a 3 team or 4 team trade scenario to help get Kirie to LA.
Miami Declined, as they do not want to give up the only assets they have to swap Lowry for slightly better player. This one actually caused a big chuckle around the team execs for LA's offer. The only benefit to this trade is it would have help shed salary and get picks back but its currently not part of the plan.
