Still feel that 3 team trade with Utah and Lakers might be our best bet of a reset.

Lowry and Duncan to LA
Westbrook, Strus, Yurtseven and LAL FRP to Utah
Conley, Beasley, Vanderbilt and Olynyk to MIA

PG - Conley / Vincent
SG - Herro / Beasley
SF - Butler / Martin
PF - Olynyk / Vanderbilt
C - Adebayo / Dedmon

Ideally, I’d want KO shifting to the 5 and Vanderbilt at the 4 when Bam sits.

Jimmy and Bam weren’t in attack mode tonight. Only 1 FTA for Bam tells me as much.

We had down seasons lol we’ve been to a finals and we’re 1 shot away from a 2nd in a 3 year span. This bubble fluke/got lucky type talk from some is just plain wrong. You don’t make it to the finals on a fluke

Down seasons yielding a high pick I mean

Also no, that run was not indicative of anything with no crowd atmosphere and no particular advantages for any team. Guys stepped up when they usually wouldn’t under normal playoff circumstances and Heat were fooled into thinking they had a championship core in place

Lakers getting smacked as we speak; Jazz over performing drastically for the Victor tank. Makes too much sense for all sides

So last season was also a fluke?

Not sure it was a fluke or not but obviously the front office felt compelled to stay put because of it

Offense was fine, although it’s still not being maximized. Defense lmao!! Good job staying in the zone and giving wide open 3 after wide open 3 Spo.

Lack of contested shots by the Heat defense. Just like we were talking about last game. Portland is 3rd to last, the Heat are 2nd to last.

Portland knows their style of play though and that’s why they were able to light the Heat up. The Heat on the other hand has no style of play right now. Spo took the offseason off and thought his same old system could bring better results with less talent.

4-7 now. 9 more games for this team to change things around. Otherwise big changes will be coming.

It’s a shame we’re going to be forced to watch this same **** show for 9 more games minimum. Some of us knew this would be the results of the season this summer, how Spo and Riley didn’t know is beyond me

Dare I say it, but I feel like we need to summon DemonOP to really have someone to bring our hateful energy towards.

I bet Riley is working the phones and the team could be one or two role players away from being legit again. It is way too early to panic. Then again, this is Realgm where every loss leads to the end of the world. The Heat will provem all wrong!

sadly impact players will not make us a contender, we need one stud in this team, and then we can worry about the Bams and Jimmy's of the world. I am all for the tanking.

I’m on the fence. Do we really think making the moves that we can make to address the holes we have put us into contention? Especially considering the ramp up and change of system it’d require of Spo and our coaching staff? Bc remember, it’s one thing to get the talent, it’s another to find a way to implement it all together. This is why I wanted Riley to make moves during the off season and give Spo a whole summer to work on a game plan. We all know he’s not the best at on the fly adjustments in game, let alone an entire system overhaul. I trust him as a coach, but can’t say I trust he can make that switch enough to turn it into a championship team midway through a season WITHOUT the talent upgrade being a star.

That said, this is as wide open a championship contending year as any I’ve seen as recent. If clicking, could a team with Butler, Bam, Herro, Lowry and Turner win a 7 game series against some of the other “contenders” this year? I think ABSOLUTELY. Nobody too scary to me this year. But is it worth losing draft capital to go all in to take that chance?

Choices choices…

i want to ask whats changed? i mean last season this team was doing well even with the protocols and injuries and so far this season i dont see the same fire and enthusiasm from players. the heat only lost two players so nothing much has changed so why things arent clicking the way its supposed to. the defense has gaping holes. the interior defense almost non existent and our offense tends to be fine for one quarter or half just to have droughts in the next. so whats going on?

The elite impact players are still impacting the game at a high level but being so small, not getting up as many 3s and not maximizing our top guys scoring potential is too much to overcome. But that’s also why it’s not a lost season, get a big body or 2 in here like Turner and things will turn around. He plugs a massive hole

Portland fan popping in predominantly to complement your commentators. I usually listen to Portland's casting, but this wasn't available on League Pass so tuned into Miami's casting. Miami's commentators were probably one of my favourite opponent commentary teams I've come across - they showed little bias, which was pleasant to watch as an opposition fan!

Tough luck on the loss, I was very impressed by your defense in the first three quarters. I also feel like Herro would have tipped you over the edge if he had played.

Good luck on the season ahead.
