I honestly believe Jimmy gives those guarantees publicly/to the media not really to inspire his team, but himself. Makes him give a **** more and is almost him holding himself accountable. Its extra motivation in game bc he knows he's going to get major **** after if they lose after he guarantees a win.

If you are an elite player and make max money and yet can’t get yourself motivated, you are a piece of **** human being and not a winner. There, I said it.

That’s what film and Adjustments are for game by game, im sorry fellas but you’re not going to blow out and sweep an elite Celtics team. It’s just not happening. Has that core fully healthy dating back to their first playoff appearance ever been swept or even lost a series in 5?

It’s time to adjust, every time bam puts the ball on the floor or attacks they’re sending not a double, but at least a triple and they’re using their hands like crazy. Surely getting away with some hacks. Relocate shooters and counter it, he’s an elite passing big

Need Caleb to start tonight in place of Love. I’ve seen people saying that Highsmith should start so that Caleb can stay on the bench, but honestly I think this isn’t the time to be cute and to experiment. Tonight is the most important game of our season, go with the guys that you trust.

Gabe/Jimmy/Strus/Caleb/Bam.

5 solid to great defenders that can switch on defense. This lineup has been elite all playoffs and they’ve played a ton of minutes together going back to the regular season.

Those are the guys I’m going to trust tonight. Play Jimmy and Bam as many minutes as they can handle and empty the clip tonight

Good lord both of those lineups are dominant. Bam and Jimmy 42 tonight minimum. Highsmith subbing for Caleb, Caleb come back in for Jimmy, Jimmy back in for Highsmith. Duncan subs for Strus. Lowry for Gabe. Love for Bam. No one on the bench outside of Highsmith should play more than 10 minutes if they’re not making an impact or making shots because love Duncan and Lowry only play one side of the ball now.

I want vintage Lowry tonight, come in and hit shots and take 3 charges. This is what we brought these championship experienced guys in for. Lowry and love have to make an impact tonight in the little minutes they play.

Another key tonight will be to slow the game down. Turnovers have killed us the last two games and we continue to let boston get out and run off of those mistakes.

Gonna need Jimmy to be aggressive and get to the free throw line tonight. If he does it’ll give our defense a chance to set every time down. The Celtics are going to continue to pressure our ball handlers tonight so the start of the game will be critical.

Honestly expect them to test Gabe’s ankle and pick him up full court.

Also something that’s becoming fairly clear, Jimmy hasn’t been the same since he hurt his ankle vs New York.

Jimmy pre-injury: 36/7/5 on 59/43/73 splits in 6 games

Jimmy post-injury: 24/7/6 on 44/20/86 splits in 9 games.

You could argue that what Jimmy did vs the bucks was unsustainable, but when has Jimmy ever shot that poorly from the field? Not since the Bucks series in 21 really.

This man is not walking through the door. Jimmys been compared to Wade all playoffs by some on here, now it’s time to truly have your Wade moment. Bam needs to be a better Bosh (which he is). Massive hits to legacies are on the line tonight.

Grand scheme no one gives a fuxk about the role players 10-15 years from now. They’ll only mention the stars on this team when they mention this ultimate choke job.
