This dude is pure trash.

What saddens me is his trade value would be in all-time low and would be stuck here for the majority of his contract

I wonder how pissed Arison is that 35% of the payroll (Butler, Rozier) is out come playoff time. No chance of advancing or even more first round game revenues with that scenario. If you want to add injured Duncan and his $18 million in then it is around 45% of the payroll.

All it takes is one team. If Jordan Poole could be traded, Herro definitely can. He's young and has shown enough "flashes" in his career that there would be interested teams. The real bold move would be trading him and Jimmy this summer.

Bam played well. He's a 3rd option that maybe can grow into a no 2. He'll likely retire a Heat. Herro on the other hand had to show he could score consistently in the playoffs otherwise he was gonna be traded this summer. This was the worst matchup for him to face being the primary scorer so I feel a bad for him. But when you get paid the expectations come with it with no excuses. As a no 1 option you gotta be able to make easy and tough shots in playoffs and he hasnt been able to. I'll be surprised if he's still a heat player past next season trade deadline.

Why are some fans so quick to give Bam a pass? I'm sorry, but "3rd option" production isn't good enough for the money he's making.

It's about expectations mostly. In a team bereft of scoring options, Herro is expected to provide it and when he doesn't he gets called out. But that first part isn't Herro's fault nor did he explicitly ask for this. That falls on the shoulders of our FO and their roster creation philosophy. You cannot expect Spo to keep working his magic year after year with a revolving motley crew of a roster :banghead:

Yall have a warped way of valuing players and contracts, someone averaging 20-11-4 while being arguably the best defender in the world is making like $32M a year, he is underpaid and it’s not even debatable.

You got guys like Herro making like $4M less, we had Lowry making $30M a year, we have Jimmy who doesn’t try all regular season and then gets injured before the playoffs about to turn 35 and is making $50M+ a year. Bam and his contract should be the least of your concerns

Bam had a middy. Faked, drove in and took a tougher middy and got blocked.

I don't get it.

I’ve really always given him the benefit of the doubt. However, this was really his opportunity to go berserk and he hasn’t even been good at all. Time to move on from him as best we can.

Hes averages 50 games a year and then shows up for the playoffs like this. Hes basically killed his value.

So tired of the "Bam is arguably the best defender in the world" narrative. Just hyperbole to my ears.

Poole was traded for an over the hill Chris Paul who was on an expiring contract. A trade like that is not helping the Heat... especially with Butler out.

Bam can legit be part of a big 3. Butler is old now. Herro it is still TBD. He's only 24. But with all three of these guys you still need someone who atleast stays healthy and can get you a bucket. If Durant wants to be moved I think he is the best option even though he's only got maybe 1-2 years left. I wouldn't say Bam is untouchable, but the list of guys I would move him for is very small and it sure as hell isn't Durant, Lillard, or Donovan Mitchell.
