Can Jimmy hold up his word? You know, play hard, win, that good stuff. I know its hard for you to remain objective as a player-first fan

That answer is probably not, he'll say he is but we all know without giving great effort he's not playing to his ability. I never said this part of Butler was something I think is good but to be perfectly honest, everywhere he wanted out from of was because the FO prioritized the younger guys... Chicago, Minnesota, Philly and now... Miami.

At which point do we take a step back and recognize the common denominator in all those scenarios?

Riley typically does not go public on player relations unless he has to. Do we really think Riley had not addressed that behavior with Butler before in private? The summer presser was likely a hand forced by Butler, who has a history of doing this in other organizations.

Yea it’s the end. Bench him and trade him to the highest bidder.

I agree this type of chit is toxic to the youngins. They looked so free recently when he was away.

Riley said he hadn't talked to Butler or his agent since last summer which is why it caught Butler off guard, it came out of nowhere to him.

Sounds like Spoelstra's scheme also added to the situation.

Exactly this^
He is not happy with the scheme Spo has. It is physically draining. So I this point young legs are badly needed.

There is a such thing as goodwill, it looks like Jimmy is content to lose however much he has left with the non player fans here

It's interesting how in a year he's went from wanting to retire in Miami to not wanting to be in Miami. If he were to not be traded, it would be a huge FU if he signed for less to go somewhere else vs Riley thinking he can just force him to take whatever he's willing to give him. That said, I think he's gotta be traded.

Pat Riley needs to get us Fox and Wiggins in the Jimmy trade and step down as well. He completely fumbled this build. There’s a time when you just don’t have it anymore, his is now and is quite frankly overdue.

Jimmy finally said phuck it. Kinda say i don’t blame him. He must know of teams ready to trade for him but Riley being stubborn. Like i said the awareness of this FO and acting like they were going to be immune to this is something to behold

He 100 has to be traded. There’s no turning back. Someone spoon fed Ashley that info before the game and Fat Ernny his bag boy cosigned it. Ernny has been right the entire time.
