If they can get Devin Carter from Sac then sign me up.

Highly doubt it though

Listen to Shaq. The conversations are all the same when a star gets a certain age.

It's an unfortunate theme. I know this isn't completely on Jimmy or Pat, but I think it's time for Pat to hang them up.

This is Herro and Ware’s team now.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Kinda like idea of trading Butler with Denver for porter jr.. I think Fox trade is a long shot but think porter jr would be a good fit in Miami for floor spacing and defense. I also think ware is gonna be great for heat. Think they will play bam and ware together? Would of been a good experiment last game in 4th quarter. Super excited for new heat era to start after Butler gets traded. Like Butler but too old and now and has negative attitude towards heat and team role.

Sending him home is not going to improve the situation and it's not going to increase his trade value. This needs to get done ASAP. Letting it linger is how we got here.

I agree 100%. He needs to be sent home with a trade that happens ASAP. Might take a few days to run a bunch of possibilities on a drawing board until the team concludes which is the best of the worst offers to take

Water is wet. Rip the band-aid off. Should have been done before if anything. Trade Butler. No long term contracts and a 1first or a couple of seconds if possible. Make the playoff this season to pay out the pick to OKC. Go into the next off season with Terry's expiring and Duncan's partial contract that is also expiring along with our picks and what ever we got from the jimmy trade stocked.

Finding a team with expendable expiring contracts or a team that can absorb money are the objectives right now. The imaginary haul is out the window. We value the space next year. We can somewhat possibly get a poo poo platter bidding war that brings some useful vet back on a good contract with the expiring’s that equal to Jimmy’s contract coming back.

In my opinion, he was playing nice to not cause drama then. I think he did truly like being here and wanted to stay-on an extension. Probably thought a deal would of been done in short order.

Everyone says it's not about the money, but it is. He knows what he did for Miami. Without him, there was no finals appearances or crazy playyoff upsets.
Almost in every sport athletes say it's not about maxing out their worth, but their agents want to get them every dollar.

I haven't kept up on this in great detail, but I'll be amazed if the Heat were seriously considering re-signing him at top pay on this extension-if at all.

Butler was a minus 27 in his 27 minutes last night. He totally torpedo'ed us. Don't let that guy touch our court again with a Heat jersey on. It will be much of the same.

Any guesses on Pat Riley's reaction this morning? He's in an awkward spot, but pretty much any comment can only make things worse.

But then again I also have a hard time believing that he's just going to let Jimmy's comments slide.

I can even imagine him going nuclear and reaffirming that the Heat aren't going to trade Jimmy. <--- period

Jimmy playing hard like he did last night would put us in the Harper sweepstakes. For all the worries about unprotected picks being coneyed, you only really need to hit on one draft pick to change the franchise.;)

My goodness this whole situation is such a disastee.

I knew we'd eventually be here, but not this early in the season lmao.

Adios Himmy. It's been good but I am now curious when that notif hits because this will be annoying and just more toxic the longer this goes on. At some point you need to let go of the rope, and that time is unfortunately now

I doubt it. Many need to understand that Heat and Butler have talked about a lot of this before it got public. Riley comments didn't come out of nowhere and was not the beginning of this. Butler agent is using the media to gain public backing to try and force a trade now.

Right about now he’s taking out a blue marker, opening a Moleskin notebook, and reminding himself:

“Eliminate the emotion, the frustration, the fatigue. And most of all, don't settle. Don't let yourself settle.”
