Remember the consequences of being in the lottery this year, not to mention it will just internally destroy the team. OKC and CHA would love Jimmy to play out the rest of the year here, they can each get an unprotected pick from us because of that. The goal of the trade should be expiring contracts, no one will anything close to 4 picks, thats just fantasy land. Oh and by opting in we face being in the tax again unless we cut Duncan and lose another asset for nothing while paying Duncan 10 million dollars.

I get that counting stats are fun, but when you shoot Rozier like percentages on one of the worst teams in the league, you arent an allstar.

Lamelo is not all that. He is not a max dude. He's more jordan Poole / john wall than trae young (and I'm not even a trae young fan tbh). He's a volume scorer and wildly inefficient and sure he has some highlight passes but he's also careless and turnover prone. He has not shown any glimpses of what it is to be a winning player.

Jaime’s back to square one. I’m not sure why Spo got cute with the lineup this game; he could’ve started Jaime, especially since he really stepped up as our starting SF during the West Coast trip.

The rotations are all out of sync right now, and you can tell from the players' expressions that they’re not sure what to do.

Plus, we’ve lost our bench saviors in Ware and Jovic, so we need to rediscover our identity there. And, of course, there’s the whole Jimmy situation to deal with.

If we can get a top player in this draft and get a top player via trade/free agency, then this build could take off.
