Small sample size man appears again, lol.

When was the last time they made the finals? Do they have a good chance anytime soon since the young executive understands the young players and their culture so well, they would soon be wildly successful, right?

Pat Riley’s not good anymore, it’s ok. Everyone meets time where they just aren’t what they used to be.

Maybe so. Idk. If my team is going nowhere and bad draft each year for like 3 straight years, maybe I would demand a change at the top. I'm no trigger happy. And go look all the successful franchises of different sports. Trigger happy owners' teams never do well. Sometimes the owner sticks by lean years with GMs and coaches because lean years do happen in sports. And life.

I don’t disagree, I just don’t think he handled the Jimmy era well and didn’t maximize the group when we showed several times we were right there. Pat Riley from the past would’ve got the job done, makes me question if he’s able to continue in his current role. We see what we currently are, I guess we’ll see how we transition

Going nowhere, I meant not even making the playoffs

Here is the thing 3ammy. Pat Riley isnt the GM of the team and hasnt been for a long time. Pat Riley is more a face figure and oversees the organization as a whole assisted by Zo. Andy Elisburg is the Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations and General Manager and Adam Simon works under Elisburg as Vice President, Basketball Operations and Assistant General Manager. The trades are happening or not happening because of Elisburg and Simon. Riley has taken the responsibility to be the person who talks to the camera, do speeches at events and the voice of Mickey Arison. Riley is the spokes person who connects the business side and the basketball side together. Zo is the one who is likely replacing Riley, however Zo's health issues might change that, but I do not know.

The agents and other teams GM's talk to Elisburg and Simon. Lately the Heat have put Simon on front of the mic a lot more often and which I think that is a sign of preparing for eventual change. I would assume you see Elisburg get promoted to Riley spot or split responsibilities with Zo. They might create a title for Spo for title sakes and he would also get GM duties with Simon. But I would find it hard to believe Spo moves ahead of Simon.

GM and head of player personel are the areas of talent acquisition and team building.

The players is built in Spo eyes more than anyone in the organization. Riley makes sure everyone is in line and the struture of the basketball operations.

No matter what happens or who is actually running the show, Riley gets a lifetime pass no matter what. The man should be treasured and not vilified

For tank commanders, remind you of, Michael Beasley.

Do you have to get incredibly lucky or what?

This is what drives me bananas with the talking heads and fans. They blame Pat for everything wrong with the team.

I would love to send Jaime and a couple others to SF. If they have a problem with it, show them the games they played in the last 2-3 months. Heck, Josh Christopher might be the SG/PG we need.

Kevin Durant is Denver bound, and it's an ideal situation for him to play alongside Jokic as a second star and less pressure.

A trade package involving Michael Porter Jr., along with Denver's 2026 and 2028 first-round picks, should be enough to seal the deal.
