I don't understand people's desperation. We have an $81 million payroll to work with. And so far, we only have the contracts of Josh McRoberts ($5.3 million), Danny Granger ($2.1 million), Justin Hamilton ($98,036), Shabazz Napier ($1,032,200), and Norris Cole ($2,038,206) who might not be with the team for too long.

The problem is we can only use S&T, TPE and vet's min to sign new players. That means a great portion of the $81m can only be distributed to returning players from the 2013/14 roster. That's not going to help our re-tooling.

Besides Wade (Bird rights), LeBron (Bird rights) and Bosh (Bird rights), two more new players is all we need. Could it be Pau Gasol and Luol Deng? There is also James Ennis with a tag price of $490,180. And we might complete this with some of our players from the past season.

There is no big signing available for the Heat unless Wade/Bosh/Lebron decide to take huge paycuts.

I don't have the source, but I remember Lebron saying that knicks were not even close to being a choice for him, like they were his bottom choices. He doesn't care for the glamour of NY, he has all he wants. Plus I doubt he could win with that knick team. It wouldn't be worth the backlash from going to a third team.
