Hayward wasn't a whale, just was the biggest fish in the pond this year. Be glad we aren't paying him more than LeBron, KD, Kyrie, etc...

I'll repeat what I have said before. When it comes to the Banana boat we are the most obvious, and best destination for it to happen. Our name has been floated along with the two LA teams, but does LA make any sense? Does any western conference team makes sense for that crew?

Look we all know these guys like to coast, and they like the glitz and glammer. Miami can offer both, with the market, and the Eastern Conference.

Lets take a look at what we could do on paper. You bring everybody back. Dion, JJ, Elington, Weed etc.

Next off-season you have a big old fire sale around draft time. We are talking the trading of Hassan, Dragic, TJ, Waiters, Elington, JJ, JRich, and Weed. How many firsts could that haul? IMO 6-7

This would leave us with

Bam, Mcgruder, Winslow, and about 90 million in cap.

You take your 90 mil and you offer it to the Banana boat.

You then have the Banana boat surrounded by a litany of young cap controlled players, with your dirty work guys already in place. Final step is bringing on ring chasing vets for the ride.

It's more realistic than you think, Pat and LeBron were once close, it's going to take some mending there, but I think LeBron and Wades familiarity with our team/staff is more of a plus than a minus. It's just a good story for the league as well. Miami sells well as a villain, these guys would be sold as super friends coming together to take out a superteam. I expect this to start off as a joke much like it is now, and we'll be sitting here a year from now, taking it very seriously

Idk why you gotta be like that. LeBron gets worse everyday and the Celtics keep Drafting at the top of the draft and signing FAs. Are we gonna beat the top teams? I doubt it.. are we gonna beat the heat? Y'all know how I feel.

We'll see what the Celtics do with IT....probably better off letting him leave next summer...Boston was clearly more equipped to beat the Cavs without him and his defense.

Agree with everything you said except Whiteside. Whiteside is an untouchable with the banana boat group he's just too dominant especially with those players.

Edit: Whiteside Bam and JJ are the untouchables.

Tyler Johnson's contract disagrees with this plan.

Says the fan of a team that has 17 championships. You should be the last guy to ask for anything.

IT has his warts for sure. I am curious to see what he'll look like with another legit scorer to take some pressure off. I doubt you can max horford, IT, Hayward and win in this current NBA but I'm down to try?

They'll have Horford earning $29m

They'll need to extend Thomas for like $35m

There goes like 80%+ of your cap. Yes they'll have 3x lotto picks on rookie scale deals, but they're gonna lose some talent.

That's 93% by my math. oof

First of all, IT won't get a max. No way. Literally every team has a good veteran PG, or young prospect. And Eric Bledsoe is on the trade market. Plus half of NBA hovering around Tax line

They will also restructure Horford's deal after 2019.

They are fine

It was more of a response to the one guy flipping out that you'll never get a FA again..I think you will lol..gordo is just a freak outlier

Yeah Blake Griffin would have been the real prize of this free agency...losing out on Hayward won't amount to much.

Return to Miami Heat
