So GM Lebron won because he got Nunn without using a single asset? These are strange times we are in.

Well I like Nunn, but it was pretty obvious that he wasn’t a Spo player. I’m not sure he could do what we needed from him in the playoffs against bigger players either. My guess is Heat only extended a qualifying offer to gauge potential for a trade. When none materialized they cut ties.

He's a perfect fit as a backup pg. We need someone to take 20 of Lowry's minutes in the regular season. You don't want a 36 year old Lowry playing 38 min in regular season. This moves looks like FO doesn't want to pay the tax and are looking at someone for the min.

He was already the backup pg here and often found himself inactive or DNP coaches decision. If he doesn’t fit the way the coach wants him to fit…then he doesn’t fit. Like I said, I like Nunn. But even if we re-signed him, I think he’d still find himself with DNPs.

Relax guys, we are building team identity first with dogs gritty players, so look for players with that mindset to be added ...

We probably have a few guards we really like who are better fits in summer league.

Did you not read the report?

Nunn got significantly bigger offers and he turned them down to try and win a title in LA.

He turned down money for winning. That's the heart this kid has.

If he was a starter then sure. But to come off the bench on a stacked team at the age of 26 is more of a ring chase than heart..

Agreed. I'm ok with him leaving...as somebody said, he wasn't a Spo player. He could do great one game and be benched for 5. If he is looking for playing time...it won't be in LA. Lebron will be yelling at him like he did Super Mario.

No it didn't at all but he did get to choose what made him happy. I cant believe that Heat didn't want him. That makes no sense at all.

Maybe there's something that we don't know.

Kelly wants a starting wing spot. Not sure small ball PF is what he has in mind.

That has more to do with Spo than Nunn.

Nunn did more good things than bad when he played. He could create his own shot and score the ball, and he had active hands on defense and got some clutch steals. He has a lot of room to get better, unfortunately Spo is who he is.

I agree. I defended Nunn earlier, but it is what it is. Spo for whatever reason didn't think he could rely on him. Its not like it's D Wade in his prime...he was replaceable. For whatever reason not a Spo player.

A little late to the party but Nunn is a fool if he actually turned down big money just to be marginalized on a Lebron led team

Yeah Nunn was handed strange DNP's because of Spo.

We could never bench Herro, nooooo. So to make room for the Herro and Robinsons of the world, Nunn got the shaft.

Which I think is a giant mistake, but whatever. Yes I am upset.
