Come on dami

He doesn't want Brooklyn. All he wants is Miami. FO just has to be "fair" with Portland and this gets done today.

He sounds like a whiny biatch right now

He's just making a counter argument to create content other than he's just going to Miami, they want fans of other teams watching/interacting for the numbers.

Nah it sounds personal. Listen to the tone in his voice. He hates Miami

Jokic vs Nurkic would be epic.

It’s honestly a perfect trade for us for this reason alone. Spo can get him into great defensive shape and game plan for that inevitable matchup.

We coulda used some beef for Jokic. For sure. Not that hes going to stop him but at least make him work for it.

Hard carrying an expensive backup Center like that. Spo not starting him with Bam

He's talking a lot about doing what's right for a franchise vs trying to keep a job and doing what's right for the GM to keep his job. There's some pain in that for him.

Again if dame truly wants only Miami as reports indicate no way Portland trades him anywhere but there, doesn’t make sense. Either Portland keeps him (which isn’t a good look) or trades him here no in between

Mcdonough made a good counter argument though. We have no idea how the Heat will look that distant in the future those picks could be high picks

Could be a concession Miami has to make to get the Lillard here.

Would have been nice to get that pick protection off but apparently we don’t need it. 2028 and 2030 with Jovic looks like the early structure

Right but how many times do you think he's been burned as a coach/assistant because a GM was doing what was right to stay the GM vs what is right for the franchise/team.

I’m assuming since that’s what we got that would interest Blazers right off the bat

When those picks convey it'll just be Bam and cap space still around. No Riley and who knows where Spo will be if he gets another title or two. Maybe retired.

Those picks could be pretty good
