Sucks that we were so nonchalant with Jimmy playing a game in preseason. He’s looked a step slow and off, and using the regular reason as his preseason has clearly not worked.

It is still too early in the season to freak out but i stated my concerns about Butler in Game 1 and i am more concerned now..

2023 - 45 million
2024 - 48 million
2025 - 52 million

If he is injured or out of shape, sit him out and get his conditioning on point. On that salary, there are expectations. He needs to be playing like an All NBA type player.

Herro upping his trade value is all we can hope for this year. Jimmy looks terrible out there. Like if he didn’t pick up a basketball all off season. 1-3, our next 3 games are at home; Nets, Wizards, Lakers. We likely beat the joke that is Washington, Brooklyn should be a W but never know with this team, and Lakers will probably beat us. I say we are 2-5 after this home stand.

This is likely our final year with this team when we inevitably fall short again. We just have to hope Jimmy plays great this year so teams will be falling over themselves trying to trade for him. We can get a decent haul for Jimmy next year. If I was the GM and I didn’t land Dame/Beal or anyone of significance I would look to trade him at the deadline this year. No reason to wait

Pretty crazy that Jimmy has to go out and prove the same thing every year though.

He has no lift on his shot. Either injured or this is his training camp

Jimmy is 34. Yeah, at this point he does have to prove every year that the previous one wasn't his last quality season.

Then again he may be cooked. Jimmy faded pretty hard in the playoffs last season after the Bucks series. And he played a lot of minutes. We needed those minutes, but he may have paid a price for it.

I ain't worried about Jimmy. He flips a switch. Long season. He's disinterested this early on. Preserve his body overtime at this age in preparation for the big stage, esp after he ran out of gas last few gm's in PO's last season. Let Herro, Bam & the kids cook & carry the load so they're all prepared to rock down the stretch.
