Bam/AD there's no weaknesses there they can cover everything. And if you get through I of them, the other is right there. With Gobert and Wemby the perimeter is can be exploited.

That pat bev contract to some team in gaza makes no sense to me at all.. thats less than league minimum.. im sure some team needing a point guard couldve offered more.

How is Westbrook able to convince so many stars that he's a missing piece?

The only other PG they had was a guy called Pickett who Nuggets fans said sucked both in the SL and GLeague, Reggie Jackson was Patty Mills level in the playoffs.

The Olympic team is still definitely the best in the world by far, but idk why they replaced Kawhi with Derrick White instead of someone like Jaylen Brow . Now the only wing defender on the team is Tatum, all the other guys are guards that will be guarding up or old guys. Bam and AD can cover alot, but if there's an off shooting night you can definitely play bully ball against most of these guys.

Brought this from the main Miami forum since it's off topic from there.
I get comparing eras but the greatest of all time will always be a question.
Jordan, LeBron and basically all the guys near the top of the greatest of all time would dominate in any era.
What I will say is that just because you came first doesn't mean others have gotten better. The one thing I've not seen anyone do anywhere close to Jordan is make something out of nothing. Let's look at "The Shot" and everything that happened in that play because it's way more than just a shot there that nobody really looks at.
So, the situation is 3 seconds left, down by 1 and they're throwing the ball in from out of bounds near half court. It's a make the shot or lose situation and... there's no clock to see how much time is left, the shot clock is off.
1. Instead of guarding the ball out of bounds, the Cav's have Larry Nance face Jordan with his back to the ball to try to deny Jordan the entry pass, Ehlo is also defending him between Jordan and the basket.
2. When trying to inbound the ball Jordan goes to his left and fakes hard to his right to create a passing angle to get the ball.
3. Jordan's fake works, he has Nance beat but Nance grabs Jordan's arm/hand and pulls to slow Jordan up and to change direction himself to keep denying the pass.
4. Instantly having his arm/hand grabbed, Jordan reverses his cut to his left and Nance's new momentum to his left (Jordan's right) from grabbing Jordan's arm/hand and pulling takes him out of denying the pass from out of bounds.
5. With the pass in the air Jordan sets up to plant himself to reverse direction and to be able to face the basket.
6. Jordan gets the ball with 3 seconds (no tenth of a second's clock) splits the Ehlo/Nance double team, gets 2 dribbles in and jumps up to take the shot but his momentum will carry him to his left while in the air.
7. Ehlo recovers, jumps, extends his arm and is in position to get part of the ball if Jordan shoots.
8. Jordan can't/doesn't shoot until Ehlo's momentum takes him out of the play and while drifting to his left and now falling, Jordan takes the shot and makes it.
It's an incredible play that's more than just him hitting the shot that I'd suspect most never notice. I don't know if there's ever been another person in history that could have done that. Kryie did something like that but not nearly as tough of defense and he used his left to get the shot off.

For Kobe and then LeBron to not build on that past and be better players -especially in skill- than MJ would be backwards af. I just have goats of each generation/era instead of comparing across vastly different rules, rule changes, 3pt lines, and frankly, vastly different leagues. There will be better players than MJ, Kobe, LeBron, etc in the future; it's how progression works. But they're the goats of their respective generations. And if someone doesn't agree with that, it's ok. Shouldn't be that much investment into that conversation.

Damn, Warriors had shot at Lamelo and Edwards and came away with none. With where they're at today, that's a noticeable L

Plus the Bulls were down one. If he misses, they go home. Instead it’s the Cavs going home. Incredible shot, and it all happens so quickly

And it’s funny what “All angles” meant those days. If this shot had happened now we’d have seen 360 deg angles, camera angles from above and below
Imagine the artistry of Jordan with today’s camera angles and video technology!

It's incredible how often he would change his shot in the air. From time to time, you see someone do this, not anywhere near the rate of Jordan could. At some point they'll have AI figure out the 3d space and objects from videos and be able to emulate what someone could in the current era.
I like to rewatch these to see plays we may never see again.
