We need to squeeze more of those 16 1sts out from them and the Thunder should have no issues in doing so. You would have to swap Joe or Caruso with Hartenstein though for salary purposes.

I mentioned the Thunder the other day, don’t know why they wouldn’t be all over this. It would be a wrap for the next 2 seasons at minimum

I think OKC would be rather reluctant mixing in an older vet personality like Butler into there locker room. They have so much ammo they can get in on much younger star options if it opens up.

I’d just go ahead and get the proven top 5 player when it matters most on my team and let the rest work itself out lol this should be a no brainer for them

It’s really not. They would have to completely change their style of play to appease Butler and then want to extend him into his twilight years. They accused Gordon Hayward as being a grumpy ass in that locker room and it didn’t mesh well. I see OKC going after one of these less polarizing stretch 4’s in the market like Kuzma, Grant, or Collins.

The players they would have to trade for those guys are likely already better than them.

Could be screwing himself, if he tries to sign and trade somewhere they’re going to have to send us back assets we deem worthy of Jimmy and Pat is going to try to bend whoever it is over

OKC isn't going to just throw away 1st because they have some massive contracts coming up in the next few years. OKC has the ability to keep their top guys long term and use those 1sts to get great valued lower contract players to fill out around their main guys for a long time and with some of their 1sts, they'll just trade them if they don't need them for future firsts that could end up being better picks. Although Butler would help, his salary would causes them issues with their current guys on rookie contracts.

It's pretty crazy where OKC is at in their build, they really lucked out with having a guy like SGA turn into one of the top players in the league.

Spurs not mentioned by they also have the same dynamic as the Rockets. I would actually prefer Keldon Johnson instead of Dillon Brooks.

Details on hoops hype are wrong. No team option. I think the option is paying him 26 instead of 24 if stipulations not met

Keep in mind any team that S&T’s for Jimmy also hard caps themselves to the 1st apron. Not going to be very easy to do as someone needs to be as motivated as we were the last time we traded for Butler without cap space. We sent Hassan to Portland, Harkless and 1st to Clippers, J Rich to Sixers. We got back Leonard in deal. All players had expiring deals in up coming year.

Jimmy was eligible for a two year 56.5 per extension equaling 113 million. With him opting out he’s eligible to go beyond two years and also stretching out the dollar figure to make it more cap friendly in the short term. Heat will have to treat the third year like it did Lowry’s and try and flip his expiring. PG’s deal starts at 49 million and ends at 56 averaging 52 million and ending in age 37/38 year.

Could be an option to dump Rozier’s contract for Ball’s expiring.
