I would think somebody would put in a bid for him. cant teach size. Haywood is a big dude and is pretty well rounded for a big man. in a perfect world he hits the market and we get the 2.9 million exception for Mike Miller being out. then he would be ours.

So what's our status in terms of the luxury tax? How much are we over it? Do you think it'll affect the decisions the organization makes going forward? Ex: Trading one of the "Big 3", amnesty a player, etc.

I hope not. I really like our team now and feel like we can go on a legendary run for the next 4-5-6 years.

What ever happened to a young player coming in and helping us. I'm more interested in seeing how Varnado and Hamilton look than getting Haywood smh

Doubt Haywood clears the amnesty bidding, I wouldn't even be surprised if another team bids for him just to avoid us getting him. I still think our best chances at a big man are Mahinmi or Haddadi.

Haywood can offer something neither of those guys can (as far as we know)

I'm not even going to entertain the idea of getting him though. It's not happening

And wtf @ Kaman....1 year / 8 million? I'm surprised it's that short of a contract and that cheap of a contract

The Pacers have acquired Ian Mahinmi in a sign-and-trade agreement from Dallas in exchange for Darren Collison and Dahntay Jones.

Mahinmi will be Roy Hibbert's backup at center.

Mahinmi will receive a four-year, $16 million contract.

Via Jonathan Givony/Draft Express

There goes Mahinmi

Haha. Mavericks easily won that trade, how did Dallas get Collison and Dahntay Jones for just a S&T of Mahinmi? Makes no sense.

Looks like it's down to Pryzbilla if he'll leave Portland, Darko if he gets amnestied and clears the bidding, and same with Haywood. Doesn't matter that much either way though, doubt any of these guys gets significant PT.

Does anyone else find it crazy how much Boston played Ray last season? 34 minutes a game. Ray has 9 of the top ten games in minutes played by a player over 36 and 14 of the top 20 for 2011-2012.

14 times he played at least 38 minutes
Wade played 38+ minutes 13 times

Wade actually played 3 more games than Ray too.

We're above 80 mil now so that's about 20+ mil in tax

The Big 3's not going anywhere, other's might be in play down the road

this is true. Haywood cheap shotted LeBron in mid air and stood over him on a pick that he knocked him down with if I remember correctly.

Having an open roster spot is fine, means we can take back an extra player in a trade if need be, or pick someone up without having to decide who to cut to make room.
