I don't like it. He's a FA, we'd be gutting our team just for the right to pay him. I'd rather suck and take a chance on Dennis Smith or Markelle Fultz.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Can't lie... I still don't like it but I guess FO thought it was warranted... So i'm cool with it. I like the McGruder and James Johnson signing, the other three is bushes status. Hopefully we trade McBob and give Beno the exception tommorow

You should switch to NBA LIVE 16 from GSW vs CLE 2k16 goodboy. I've never played either, but LIVE looks hilarious. Kaminsky looks like a weather man on local news lol

Winslow looks like GOAT

The Dallas Mavericks finally got around to paying veteran superstar Dirk Nowitzki the big dollars last week when the two sides agreed to a two-year, $40 million deal. After playing for about $8 million per season in each of the past two years, it was only right for Nowitzki, the best player in franchise history, to be rewarded with a big-time deal as he closes in on retirement.

Nowitzki referred to the current skyrocketing of NBA salaries as “utopian,” and said that his leaving money on the table the past couple of years stands as proof that he doesn’t care about pecking orders when it comes to those salaries. “Last year our highest paid players were Wesley Matthews and Chandler Parsons, but our best players were actually Deron Williams and me,” he said.

I wish we would have had Dirk instead of Wade. Imagine what Pat could have done with a loyal, down to earth guy like him.... Dirk could have had the max contract and instead played a couple seasons at $8 mil a season! Imagine Pat with that situation!!!

Meanwhile.... our franchise icon called Pat a "bitch" and left us over a few mil more.

Hopefully the Heat are confident they can move McRoberts...Riley seems to have loaded up on guys who can play PF (D. Williams, J. Johnson, U. Haslem, even L. Babbitt and W. Reed). There has also been talk of Winslow getting time at the 4.

I don't see how McRoberts fits....lets pray he's on the move soon.

I don't think Winslow at PF is the plan anymore, not with the way they just loaded up. They'll probably have to play some of the PF's at the 3 part time

Dirk has won 5 playoff games the last 5 years and wasn't taking any paycuts in his prime.

it's only been 4 days. Too early to be telling Heat fans to let it go

Plus I think it makes Wade look really bad when you compare him to a guy like Dirk.

The Heat gave Wade the exact same contracts that Lebron got all throughout his prime. Wade didnt take paycuts.

Looking at the Roster - We need Dragic badly. He's the only proven shot creator around.

He's also the only older guy around. Which makes him an odd fit with this young, long term team.

This sums up to be perfect tank bait.

If we trade Dragic for a lottery pick, we'll lose a lot, and get a high lottery pick of our own. So we'll end up with 2, which we might combine to use to move up in the draft and get a truly generational player.

Add 1 or 2 lottery talents to a core of :

Weber
TJ
Rich
Winslow
Hassan

And all of a sudden we're Minnesota East - one of the most exiting and promising young teams in the league.

Hassan's not all that young either, if we trade Dragic for future fate then we midas whale do Whiteside for the same. Big men don't always age so gracefully either

I think we should first see how this team plays together and then act accordingly. If the team is good, you look to add a piece next off season or at the trade deadline. If the team is bad you ( possibly ) downgrade at the trade deadline or don't and you regroup next off season, when you have a clearer image about your own FA than we had this year. You need some good to great pieces to attract FA. The way this league is ATM. A FA would rather join a team with Dragic & Whiteside ( & Bosh ) than TJ & JRIch & Winslow ( &2017 1.first pick ). At least for another season or two.

Hassan should be in his prime for another 8 years or so. His game is based on length and touch more then on quickness.
