Personally can't get around the post-Watershed prog rock Opeth albums, just not my jam at all. But one of my fav bands of all time.

Blackwater Park, Still Life and Ghost Reveries would be up there with some of my fav albums of all-time.

I can understand your perspective. The ones you mentioned just suck you in. Heritage, Pale Communion, and Sorceress take you somewhere else entirely. Having said that, I listen to a lot of stuff, and Opeth delivers quality material regardless of the style.

Speaking of Watershed, I've had Hex Omega on my favorites list for a month now. That whole album is good though, from beginning to end.
