He knew how he chose not to try and it cost us. Only game 6 he subbed early and often and we played with energy. Dont know why he didnt go back to that. Guys ran out of gas and everything was short, no legs and no lift.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Brutal contract for sure. He’ll have a market out there though. But it’s damning that a team that needs spacing as bad as us couldn’t afford to have him on the court.

What market? Honestly what market does he have? Like seriously we need to be honest to ourselves about this. The same with Lowry and his contract.

If Davis Bertans can be traded, Duncan surely can. Duncan is much better.

So the ORTG-DRTG for Miami in Game 7.
Butler +16
Bam +16
Lowry -5
Strus -20
Tucker -101 <- had 0 for ORTG, only 17 min

Oladipo -22
Vincent -31
Herro -77 <- Only 6:43 on the court.

Boston went out and got White for their run while Miami did nothing to strengthen the roster and for some reason believed they didn't need a real backup behind a 37 year old undersized backup. That decision may have cost them getting to the finals. I just don't understand why this FO refuses to add good bigs, even for backups.

3 years with Butler... the PF situation.
1. Leonard from the Whitside dumping, then added Crowder while dumping Waiters and Justice, can't go big because of 2021 plan.
2. Didn't retain Crowder because of the 2021 plan nor added a better big next to Bam, picked up Ariza for nearly nothing.
3. Making sure not to go over the tax got Tucker for under 8 million while handing out a nearly 90 million dollar contact to a one dimensional 3pt shooter.

So what will year 4 be? I expect Tucker will be back but maybe, just maybe get a PF with some size that can also handle centers who can play defense and shoot 3s?

Right, Butler average 1.03 points per half court possession.
The rest of the team averaged 0.76.

If it makes it easier to understand...
Out of 100 possessions
Butler scored 103 pints.
The rest of the Heat scored 76 points.

What is crazy about these numbers is that Butler was hurt/ineffective 2-3 games in the ECF which vastly dropped his points per possession.

With a pace of 93.5 possessions per game for both teams, Miami averaged 99.7 pts in the series, without Butler Miami would have had a hard time getting to 75 points a game.

Butler is incredible and nothing dislikable about that guy, just a superstar through and through. I think the East goes through the Bucks, Celtics and Heat for the foreseeable future so good chance we take another run at this series next year. Good series, both teams left it all on the floor

Special Celtics Team?????

Just finished watching
Butler should have drove to the basket instead of the 3.Thats his strength.
Horford is old and he would have drove past him.

We had some defensive lasp in this game & Celtics got easy some buckets
Could have used Dedmon in this one
Herro's scoring was missed
They did not beat us at full strength

These sport shows debating strus 3 point shot.. we didnt lose that game because of that… we lost the game when we missed 9 field goals in a row at crunch time..

hopefully Riley understands we develop players to TRADE THEM for proven veterans. We made this mistake so many times and Riles still doesnt learn.

I've been bitching about it since the Whiteside days. I said TRADE WHITESIDE WHILE HIS VALUE IS ALL TIME HIGH (and Herro and Robinson and..)!!! but riley falls in love so much. We are very good at finding pumpkins in the garbage heap and turning them into Princes, but then Riley keeps then too long, overpays them, and they turn back into rotting pumpkins.

Whiteside/Tyler Johnson/Herro/Robinson/Waiters...........

etc

can we freaking develop guys into valuable assets and then TRADE THEM FOR PROVEN VETS to win now?

Sorry guys but I can't help but reminisce and look at how Wade used to handle being down 1 or 2 points with 21 seconds left on the clock.

Waits for team to get into position for a chance at offensive rebound....Calls for ISO, drains clock to leave little time for opponent to reply... and plays to his strengths (driving, mid range game).

Jimmy with that pull up transition 3. Sigh. Nobody in position for a offensive rebound chance. Poor shot considering Jimmy's strengths and weaknesses. Why didn't he just go for a mid range J or a drive at Horford....
