If we help the Celtics land KD, Herro Duncan Jovic and 3 picks works salary wise for Brown.

Lowry
Strus
Brown
Jimmy
Bam

That would be the starting lineup. About the same size as last year but much younger, faster, and athletic. We pick up the pace with Lowry pitch aheads and let Brown Bam and Jimmy wreak havoc on teams in the open court.

Is that team better than the Celtics? Dipo Gabe Dedmon and Martin off the bench worst case.

Can't you only be offered the super max from the team that drafts you? Once the Celtics trade him, he's only getting the normal max right?

I would guess you are correct, not too knowledgeable with the rules, unless you can get someone bird rights but I don't know it that works with the super max. I know he will get every penny the CBA would allow in Brooklyn that's for sure.

Yeah there is a difference haha. Ex) Devin Booker signed a 4 year, $224 million super max extension vs. Zach Lavine's 5 year, $215 million normal max extension. 56m/yr avg vs. 43m/yr avg

If we could help the celtics land KD and bring Brown here, then why wouldn't we just trade for KD cause basically our core pieces of the trade would end up in Brooklyn.

Not gonna lie the thought crossed my mind. If Boston offers Brown + Grant Williams + FRP do you take it? If we can't get KD then I probably would take that deal as long as Jimmy was ok with being traded to Boston. Would give us a young starting forward rotation, and who knows, perhaps the FRP could be used in a Don Mitchell package. This is all a fantasy but a Bam/Grant/Jalen/Don/Gabe(?) starting lineup would be something to look forward to

Eeewww, Jimmy with that Boston Lineup, that Defense behind him, and Tatum next to him, they would win the East by a Mile. Could have taken GSW down last year.

They’re double dipping in assets in this scenario. It’s pretty simple lol

why aren't you buying that Bam is at least in the convo? Ira wouldn't say that unless his Miami people are 100% sure especially since he never actually reports. He speculates. He's like the Heat company shill. Jaylen Brown is a true star who in many instances led Boston to the Finals at 25 years old and BKN turned the offer down, yet Miami homers want to believe the crappy picks + Jovic and Herro are keeping us in talks? Can we please use our common sense?

See my last post. He probably has been discussed, doubt he’s been offered or it would be done by now.

Miami has tried to keep Bam off limits to the best of their ability, obviously I reported early on that they had a scenario where Bam could be offloaded but they were keeping that in the background as an opportunity not one to come out and have to use. They do have a scenario trade at least they did early on to move Bam to Brooklyn while a third team absorbed Ben Simmons, it sounds like they had one more hand to play by offering Struss to pick up an additional pick.

Upper management or one of the Arison's definitely wants to know Heat GM exhausted and did everything possible to keep Bam and catch Durant all together. Boston's proposal definitely trumps what we have without knowing A. what two players are headed their way in the deal I was told, B. If those RFP's are swaps for other ones from another team, giving them better RFP's in return, unprotected or protected to a degree which will be better than ours regardless.

Who knows, It could all change by tonight, tomorrow, or next thing you know, GSW throws something out there to trump everybody, just cause they can.

I appreciate this take because I do believe Miami doesn't want to include Bam and will exhaust every other avenue to not include him, but that doesn't mean they might not be pushed to consider it and eventually put it on the table, especially with Boston looming as the title favorite for all of Jimmy's years if they land KD. Bam is obviously the ace Miami has which is what has kept them at the table.

Chicago tried back then, Boston wouldn't do it.

What in the NBA2k did i just walk in on? Hell would have to freeze over before Jaylen Brown ended up on the Heat. If he’s traded to BK he becomes the face of there franchise and rightfully so cause they need win now players. I’m going back to vacay mode smdh

It would be a win/win for me personally. I get to see my mans Jimmy get that ring he deserves and my Heat are set up with a very nice 25 and under big 3 core that hasn't even hit their prime yet

Nah Lowry & KD to the Celtics and Herro, Smart, White and 4/5FRP (2 Celtics +2/3 Heat) make a whole lot more sense imo to get Brown.
