Remember when we used to sell our draft picks for "cash considerations" ??

No chance in hell Mickey would want to pay that kind of tax bill. Honestly, this topic of our owner being a cheapass is getting me upset, I dont think any trade is happening tonight anyway.

I really don't understand this PHX noise for Beal.

They lost to the Nuggets in the 2nd round in 6 games with Denver averaging 117pts and being out rebounded by 7rpg.

But somehow trading away either Paul or Ayton for Beal to be the 3rd string scorer behind Booker and KD and having a lineup of SG-Beal, SF-Booker, PF-KD? out there somehow going to make that team better?

Denver going to average 130+ against that team and there are only so many shots guys can take.

I'd be shocked if Beal waived his no trade clause to go to PHX.

It’s a very inefficient allocation of resources for roster building

Riley could do another record breaking multi team trade like in 2005 maybe? Send Herro to another team, have that team send the picks to WASH ?

You underestimated KD is a snek and would do all his powers to form a super team. Maybe pressuring Suns FO since he is tight with Beal.

They want expirings and draft compensation. Seems like they are just trying to squeeze out a pick beyond Miami's 18th pick from this year. I think this all gets resolved before the draft.

if Beal really wanted PHX just as much as he wanted Miami, he would be a Sun already.. PHX isn't being leveraged for more assets because they simply dont have more assets. so if Wiz and Beal know Suns can't adjust their offer any further... what is Beal and Washington waiting on?

That's how you know negotiations are still ongoing and there was never a completed deal or a "fleecing" - at least not yet.

Suns have literally nothing to offer but cap relief but we should unload our picks, Herro Jovic etc? Come on now

They can buy a first round draft pick to help offset the trade. It all depends on what the hangup is. They have an owner who is willing to spend, good or bad is immaterial here. Nothing is set in stone right now. That can give them the capspace and the picks if needed, it might not be a high draft pick but its a first rounder.

Blazers FO would be killing themselves next season when Blazers only just make the playoffs and get bounced in the first round only to have Porzingis expiring and only having a FRP in the 15-20 range and Lillard thinking about leaving again.

We have the 18th pick which is not high, doesnt Indy have two low first round picks, Heck the Knicks and OKC have picks to spare. The Sun if needed can buy picks.
