Could be an option to dump Rozier’s contract for Ball’s expiring.

Lets make it happen MWP. What is the pot sweetener we need to include?

Could honestly cost as little as the 2026 2nd rd pick.

I like this as a last resort if we’re not going to improve the team

Rozier’s money coming off the books a year early would open up the mid level and keep under the tax.

Jovic

Think that’s too much. Would have to discuss adding Vucevic if that was the case

Who makes around 20m which complicates things

Question, you think Mia should extend Jovic after the season?

He had a cartilage and meniscus transplant, hope the transplants work better than the normal way to fix these injuries, he's a great playmaker.

Don't trade Jimmy unless you can get great value back for him in terms of draft capital

Let him finish his contract, try to talk him into opting in, if not see if he will sign mid level deal something around 4 years 20-30 mil. Old Jimmy and another mid tier contract around 30-20 mil is more valuable to me than a max guy depending on who it is.

If he wants the max let him walk, and probably need to figure out if you want to trade Bam or Herro

I think 2026 and the reset it potentially provides is more valuable than anything we currently have on this roster. Miami needs to just let some of this stuff fall off the books, and transition to a new build.

The way Herro is starting to play I would be open to potentially seeing what Bam could bring in terms of a haul . You could walk into that 26 offseason with Herro, Jamie, Ware, and Pele with $120,000,000+ in space, owning all our picks outside of 27, and potentially whatever picks you acquire with a Bam deal which could range between 4 to 5 1sts.

Notable 2026 NBA Free Agents

Luka
SGA
FOX
KP
Young

I'm not paying anybody if there is even a 5% chance we could sign Luka not to mention pair him with Herro, Bam or 1 or the other and another star like SGA, Fox or Young

All those notable free agents will be signed by there teams for max money then asked to be traded. Only players hitting free agency these days are mid 30’s stars. The days of real free agency for stars is gone. Now you need the right matching contracts, young players, and draft capital to get a deal done.

Fox

Highsmith
Zion
Bam

Stay tuned.

I think I missed something, but isn't Rozier's next year a team option? If we want Rozier gone, he gone. Trading him for Lonzo Ball just saves maybe 3 mill of this years bill (probably not something to be entirely dismissed), and Swap out Terry's erratic play for essentially continuing Lonzo's rehab for him going into FA. I think you only trade for Lonzo if you see him fully recovering and want to resign him, or if you think what he is right now, even coming back from injury is better than what we get from Rozier.

Rozier has served us better as a reserve than a starter, not sure if Lonzo outdoes his benefits, even if not what we signed up for.

You missed something Rozier is either guaranteed 24 million or 26 if he meets some stipulations. If he doesn't meet them it’s our team option to guarantee it. He has 2 years left

Cam Johnson is the only one I like for us, and the only one that makes sense.

He's a true sniper, that isn't terrible at the other things, and he has decent size. Also not old.

The question is - what's the Nets price for him

I think it’s just going to be Ball. Kuzma is mentioned as a fit but people who usually mention Kuzma never do research on his lockerroom fit unless Kuzma, Herro, and Katya are suddenly friendly. Cameron Johnson has 3 years left on deal and BK is asking for a small ransom for him. Hence why GSW had to back off even though they had a 1st to give.
