WOW

So now, we can sign LeBron/Bosh/Wade at around 15.5 million if I'm not mistaken without dealing Beasley, or 1 million less than the max for each.

Or if we deal Beasley, we can sign them to the max and STILL have 2 million left over.

HOLY SCHNIKEYS

Another update on the Cap which is huge for us, for it allows it to possibly get Lebron and keep our biggest asset Beasley
STEIN_LINE_HQ

Officially salary cap number is $58,044,000, up from $57.7 million last season. Tax line rises to $70.3 million, up from $69.9 million

Someone should change the title of this to reflect the new cap number.

Can anyone do a quick look at our salary cap numbers with the new cap, with Bosh and Wade signing?

David Stern manipulated the cap so the Knicks can add Lebron, since Amare got like $20M a year.

This cap adjustment is big big news indeed. This loosens the purse strings for Riley to go blockbuster all over this FA period.

I dunno, maybe that's just me...

I want to control, monopolize, dominate, the league. Create a Dynasty, that makes history. Like Wade and Bosh say, "is all about winning."

Can someone explain to me why we have 2 Free agency threads at the top? It's really annoying going through both threads to find basically the same stuff.

Nah Amare's max was like 17 million, they'd have been able to afford him either way.

IraHeatBeat

New cap puts Bosh, Wade, LeBron starting max number at about $17 million for 2010-11. Without Beasley, room for all three under new cap.

When do you think Dwade and Bosh will sign their new deals, perhaps at 12 am because it will truly be interesting to see if they take less than the max.

Ira is wrong. Their max remains 105% of their previous years salary, because that is greater than 30% of a cap based on 48.01% BRI. $16.568908M remains the number for a true max.
