Beasley coming out of college was the best player in College Basketball. I'll never forgot him guaranteeing that he would drop 40 against Kansas and that he would beat them any where including Africa. With that said potentially Beasley could have been the best player in that draft because the way he could score was so pure. I do admit Spo was a big season on why he turned out like this because of his favoritism towards Haslem.

Blaming spo for how Beasley turned out? That's new.

Apparently tweener chuckers are popular on the Heat forum, or even just scrub players like all three actually are.

Not off the court obviously, but on the court he is partially to blame in the early portion of his career.

We signed Rod Strickland because we HAD to. He played 1 season, was 35 years old at the time and Mourning was coming back for the first time from his kidney issues. The team had no PG - Hardaway left to Dallas I think - and the team tried just to survive the season with the likes of LaPhonso Ellis, Jim Jackson, Sam Mack, Tang Hamilton, Malik Allen and Mike James.

Two different circumstances with a 35 year old Strickland (1 season) and a 24 year old immature Beasley.

I'd take Beasley. He is still young man, people forget that. He can still score too. He is still a bit of a chucker but it's not like this team asks for much from their bench players. Usually it's ONE job they have, Beasley can do that. Just shoot 3's... possibly rebound.

He would be motivated if he joined back with us too.

This locker room cancer thing is so blown out of proportion. Rio used to smoke with Beas is he a locker room cancer??Rashard got caught doping is a cheater who takes short cuts the type of guy we want on our team?? Wades gotten better off ball but his jump shooting and free throw shooting hasnt improved despite multiple years of off season promises is that type of work ethic the kind we want on our team?? Haslem got caught with marijuana a few years ago is that the type of guy we want around our young guys like Cole and Oden??

Its crazy how once the media creates an idea of your reputation its damn near impossible to change it.

I'll always wish the best for Beas from him dropping 28 on the knicks and cheering on the floor after driving his first charge.Hes a young kid who got caught with weed 3 months before the season starts, stop acting like were trying to bring George Zimmerman into the locker room.

Wow.. Who gives a **** how much we sign him for? He won't fit for the team, I wouldn't wanna get him even if he was free.
I don't get what's so hard to comprehend? It's not about monetary value but about cohesion, defense, and a solid locker room guy.

Beasley's game negatively affects us imo so regardless of how much of a discount we could possible get him at, WE SHOULDN'T SIGN HIM.
**** this isn't rocket science.

Rio = not a head case.
Beasley = headcase.

Big difference.

Rio plays defense, can knock down the 3.

Remind me what Beasley will do that could positively affect our squad?
Heat are known for DEFENSE. something Beasley isn't known for.

Everytime Beasley has his name in the news for the wrong reasons it seems like people start suggesting we bring him back.

Our line up of D Wade/Bosh and the bench get outscored by 4.8 points per 100 possessions. Beasley could help with scoring punch off the bench so we don't have our leads trimmed half the time LeBron hits the bench.

Now go back to my post and tell me why those guys arn't headcases and Beasley is. A couple talking heads say it and you repeat it as fact.Tell me the difference between Rio and Haslem getting caught smoking and Beas getting caught. If the weed isn't the big deal then tell me what it is that is such a big problem for him.

I answered your question now answer mine.

The NBA Media is almost trying to Trayvon Beasley. Hopefully they stop framing him as some bad guy just cause he does the kush once a while. Whoopy Do. Dude can score like any other.
