Marin is supposed to be a very good defender, right?

His shooting has been up and down, but if he can shoot somewhat consistently he could a nice stretch 4. He has the size and got 7.5 rebounds per36 last year.

He is a PERFECT fit here. One of the best 3 point shooters in the league, has a nice mid-range pull up jump shot and decent floater, plus he rebounds well for a guard. Does all those "little things" Miller used to do. He's not great defensively, obviously or else he'd be making 10 million a year with the way this off season is going.

Umm...no he doesnt.

Yeah, he's not a very good rebounder (Chalmers and ancient Ray and George Hill were all better rebounders this year) but if he can be an elite sniper, I'm all for him.

Morrow would be a great signing, this team needs more shooting and he's one of the top 3-5 shooters in the league. Yeah he is limited. But he's a better, more mobile, and younger James Jones. He wouldn't be a complete and utter liability if foul trouble happens in the post-season and you need to give a guy 5-10 minutes. Obviously at the right price though, and these idiot GM's giving out 10-20 million to very average-below average players aren't helping.

I don't mind that. At least we'll have a consistent theme with those additions. We can shoot for Spurs-like spacing and efficiency on offense perhaps. What do we do with a point guard in this situation?

Cap space :
Marvin Williams = 3 Mil
S.Hawes = 7 Mil

Room exception of 2.7 Mil = Morrow

Could be done, no?

Ths is how you do it

Well it's a start.

Morrow + Hawes/Gasol, maybe throw in Ed Davis too..

Could still end good for us.

I'd like Morrow and Hawes. Lots of spacing and 3 pt shooting. Defense isn't as bad as some are suggesting.

You hope Napier can be developed fast into an average/above average starting PG.

Sure, but I hope Lebron is happy with that. Not a lot of flashy names there, but Hawes as our center would really help us out

I would be elated to add Hawes/Williams/Morrow

As for PG, with a more traditional lineup with Hawes at the 5 and Bosh at the 4, perhaps Bron can shift back to his Cleveland days when he was the Cavs' de facto PG. I would totally be in favor of it if it allows more room for Bosh to operate so that Bosh can take on the role as our #2 guy on offense.

Hawes might be seeking more money, but if not add Xavier Henry to that list, and I would say those additions would make for a very successful off season.

Well we don't need Flashy, big 3 are flashy enough.

We need solid, non-expensive, young, GOOD FIT.

Those 3 very solid rotation players that bring the shooting (all 3) rebounding (Hawes and partly Marvin, he's way better rebounder the Battier/Lewis), Pure scoring (Morrow), defense (Marvin, partly Hawes, he can handle Centers decently well).

It's good enough IMO, combind with Napier, Ennis, Hamilton, Maybe Oden, Beasley.

We'd probably need to dump Cole for cap space to make that happen, or Lebron would need to take less than the max. And then we'd have to expect a lot of guys from last year to come back on vet min contracts (Haslem, Ray, Oden, Jones, Douglas, Beasley, Lewis)

Morrow would be a very good signing.
