Cam Johnson is the only one I like for us, and the only one that makes sense.

He's a true sniper, that isn't terrible at the other things, and he has decent size. Also not old.

The question is - what's the Nets price for him

I just mentioned. It’s a bit pricey. Possibly 2 1st rd picks. Warriors tried to get him and backed out

I think it’s just going to be Ball. Kuzma is mentioned as a fit but people who usually mention Kuzma never do research on his lockerroom fit unless Kuzma, Herro, and Katya are suddenly friendly. Cameron Johnson has 3 years left on deal and BK is asking for a small ransom for him. Hence why GSW had to back off even though they had a 1st to give.

They’re talking about Lamelo :o

I’ll take it haha!

Yikes are you saying 24 mill of next years 26 is guaranteed no matter what??

I've been counting those chickens all along as him being expiring. Oh no

Who makes around 20m which complicates things

Question, you think Mia should extend Jovic after the season?

Duncan makes 19.8

Spo would just make Vuc a 3 point shooter and when he's off, he'd be unplayable.

Prefer a simplier deal for Ball

lamelo Is exactly what the heat need...lol

kuzma and cam Are not exactly what you call... Practice all the time players (spo Will bench them a lot)

If this 3 are the ones we really have in mind we are not looking good

I think the Raps like having the Canadien born KO on their squad. Also the 12 million contract is not easy for us to match without more moving parts you probably don't want to give up.

Ball would bolster the size of the guard rotation at least

And maybe Ware gets more playing time which would negate the need for a guy like Vuc or KO

Id be happy to get off of Rozier a year early. Anything else Lonzo would contribute is icing.

Zion + Theis + Early for DRob and Terry works.

That said Zion legit is embarrassing but man I wonder if we'd be able to snag him and save him. BI would probably also work from a $$$ perspective. I wonder if we'd trade any picks?

Ball can execute the fast break which on the whole has been a clown show for Mia this year

Zion in Miami would low key be hilarious. He'd be cheesin' thinking of all that latina booty. Don't blame him tbh.

If the cost was as modest as Robinson, Rozier and a pick you'd probably have to roll the dice on it. The upside is too high. Only bad part is Duncan has been low key nice and is an important part of our gameplan.

Not sure at all about the spacing of a Butler, Zion and Adebayo front court particularly without Duncan around. Lot of pressure on Herro to provide that.

It's a wonder we didn't target Malik Beasley. He's Ellingtonesque.

As said before, the goal should be to get to 2026-2027 offseason with as much off the books as possible and as many chips possible.

Any Butler trade should not bring a guy like Wiggins or Dillon Brooks who will be under contract and ruin that offseason for us, nor for Kuminga or who I’m not ready to give a couple hundred million to.

The deal should get expirings (or 2 year deal max) with picks and as many picks as we can get. Get guys on deals we can compete with while not breaking 26-27.

Go look at the names available in that offseason, and there are 3 that stand out to me - Luka, Trae Young, Fox

Luka is the obvious LeBron like pipe dream that you have to keep all the options on the table for. You enter a different ballgame if Goran can bridge that connection and get us in the room.

Trae has been talked about a lot on here.

To me, Fox is the guy we go after. Which is why it’s important to get assets for guys like Jimmy and even possibly Terry next year to make a sign and trade work or convince Fox to opt out and sign with us PG style.

You go in to that season with

Fox
Herro in real prime
Year 4 Jaime
Bam
Year 3 Ware

Year 3 Larsson

Just my 2 cents for a realistic way out of this. Important to keep the books clean in any Jimmy trade unless you can win with the package.
