I'm confident Jaime can turn it out around offensively (as evident during the past several games) after the slow start he has had to the season.

Herro is 24 (turning 25 in a couple of days), Jovic is 21, Jaime is 23, and Ware is just 20. Great foundational pieces to build with for the future.

3 years from now, assuming we add a whale in the 26' free agency, these core group of players along with Bam Adebayo could become serious contenders for the championship.

Still need to add that 1A type offensive star to put everyone in the right packing order.

Fox is my realistic hope

is Fox really a 1A? Haven't see enough of him in the last couple years.

People are going to point to the competition on this winning streak but I'd counter that its hard to go streaking on a long road trip in this league, we're one late game collapse away from winning 4 in a row..we'll see how they close out (assuming these LA games are played).

I just dont see how they bring Jimmy back with the team next Friday. Dont get me wrong it would be great if he buys in for the rest of the season because there are players that look like they are hitting their stride, but it's clear to me that Jimmy is no longer willing or capable of going about his job professionally here. We have a local media that thrives on drama, first chance they get they are going to ask him if his feelings have changed and in true diva fashion he'll cease the moment to yet again make things uncomfortable for his teammates, and it's not fair to the guys that have been available, busting their asses to help this team win games. Definitely don't take a bad trade, but be prepared to send this guy home once he proves he cant get his act together. 21 days between the Denver game and the trade deadline, that's a lot of time for a malcontent to put on a show with Shams.

I was really holding out hope that whatever the case, the beef would remain between Jimmy and the front office, and he would still stay connected to the guys, who thus far he did nothing to, and they did nothing to him. But something clearly changed recently, and you can tell from the language that the guys are using in their interviews. I’m not really holding out hope anymore that Jimmy can find a way to balance this contract situation with the organization and still being there for his teammates.

The team is also just in a really good groove right now. I mean when he comes back, whose minutes is he taking away? Are we taking the ball out of Jokic and JJJ’s hands even as they’re starting to excel in that role? Things are just lining up to cut ties entirely unfortunately. Really hate it but I still hold no hard feelings towards Jimmy like some fans feel the need to do for some reason. He had a great run here and took some very improbable teams to the edge of a championship multiple times. We had great years together and that doesn’t just go unappreciated because he has beef with Pat Riley. At least not for me.

FWIW people have been mentioning Jimmy only wants Phoenix and Miami better do right by him “to make fun of the blazers doing the franchise goat dirty” but he only wants Phoenix now because of his preferred 4 they’re the only team that actually wants him and they may be the only team in the league that wants him

Hope you enjoyed the game.

I really can't understand how can you have a lottery team for years upon years yet still have less young talent then a team that went to the conference finals 3 times in the last 5 and never tanked.

How is that even possible?
Is it the coaching? the front office? no fans? all of the above?
so weird.

Has to be coaching. I was commenting in the GT about how inefficient Sharpe was bricking long 2s time and again, and in this day and age of 3 point shooting, that has to be something that can be coached out of him.

Wonder what Blazer fans think

There is no such thing. If either the parents are rich the child is rich. It’s purely based off the wealth of the parents. It doesn’t matter who the guardian is. It can be grandma raising the kids. If either parent is a billionaire the child is a billionaire. The guardian gets to manage that wealth.

Right, it's on a sliding scale based on both parents' earnings. The thing that's wrong legally in these situations is that the custodial parent doesn't have to use any of that money on the children as long as he/she maintains the minimum standards for the children. It's kind of ****ed up that there isn't any kind of sliding scale for the minimum quality for the children being taken care of.

There’s nothing legally wrong with it lol. There are already systems in place to make sure that a child is not being neglected. What you’re talking about is nickel and diming and auditing the custodial parent out of what I can only guess is spite. It is spoken like someone who has the benefits of not having to do much of the heavy lifting as a parent, but still not wanting to carry more of the burden financially to make up for it. So wanting to make the other parent who already does and is responsible for more jump through hoops.

What actually needs to happen is the court system needs to more closely monitor situations where the parent requests joint custody in order to avoid or reduce child support, but dumps the kid with some other guardian like a nanny or a female family member whenever the child is supposed to be in their care. In the case of athletes, I can tell you that happens a lot more frequently than whatever it is you’re talking about.

He’s definitely a lead guard player and he’s good in big moments (think he won clutch player of the year it’s first year) but only has 1 playoff series under his belt.

Honestly Jimmy needs to put his pride to the side and hash it out with Riley, him staying and us landing Fox in the summer is by far his best chance of winning a championship imo. Suns aren’t doing it.

Top 8 scorer in the NBA last season and this season. Entering his prime. Contract outlook/cost of acquisition looks more attainable than most. Real lead scoring PG.

Loving Tyler's game & growth this season. Rooting big time for him to remain healthy and have enough steam to see it through for the whole season.

Jimmy needs to fire his team. Putting this all out here at the same time was a wild decision.

I think Riley needs to jedi mind trick Jimmy and make sure he opts out by saying his best and only option will be to opt in.

Jimmy doesn't give a **** about winning a championship at this point. He wants his max extension and the Suns are probably the only team willing to give it to him. Plain and simple.

Good video breakdown. Fuel that fire. Bam better be in his boys ear.

Bit about Kings being fatally deficient due to defense that cant execute in high stakes situations (starts around 5 min mark) is on point and inherently tied to having Sabonis as a foundational piece on the roster. That's not gonna change with Sabonis and will show up in high stakes situations (any playoff setting against a good team). Sabonis will get some nice inflated stats tho.

This, plus Herro's unshakable swagger, plus resume of clutch daggers ..really make a potential bright future seem plausible.

Half the NBA talking heads have planned trading him away for years, and meanwhile old boy wonder has been planning how he gets out of the shadow of Batman...

The Heat always find ways to impress me post big three, they either cobble together a core that seems they might over achieve if they can make the post season, or go on surprise play off runs, or some how end up in the finals...heck even this season...they give us something that is worth cheering for.

Maybe Jimmy has a legit gripe...idk...but I swear he could learn a thing or two from Herro and Bam. All three of them have some flaws in there game, but I have never heard of Herro skipping games to go to the club when he is yo-yoing between bench and starter or Bam raising a fuss when the ball does not get in his hands in a timely manner.

My prediction is he ends up in Memphis for a bare bones package. Memphis do the Toronto thing and Miami gets him out. Beyond this season who knows where he plays

64pts combined for Dame Package vs those fools.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Return to Miami Heat
