If this KD madness really gets done, I think we'll have some surprisingly useful rotation players in house with Larsson, Dru Smith and Keshad. All 3 can guard and have good BB IQ.

I do think a

Mitchell
Herro
KD
Bam
Ware

This lineup (and entire roster) lacks some creation IMO,it becomes our biggest weakness.
It's not wise to have Mitchell are the best slasher/rim pressure guy on the roster.

A Collin Sexton type might work. KD is more of a jump shooter now, more then he ever was. It can't be the only move.

Yep, I agree with your post from earlier. If they land KD and are really serious about winning Herro will be out the door

Lebron and Knecht for Herro and Wiggins

Minor filler and maybe a pick

Explore the market for Herro hahahaha. Orlando most likely called the Grizz about Bane cause that’s who they identified that most fit there build. Nobody is banging down our door for Herro. What are we supposed to call every team and beg them for the poor man’s Bane package?

Yeah this is always when the Heat are involved. I have to give credit to Butler though. He played everything perfectly. Sometimes you just gotta be an ahole when teams start saying chit like this. Let’s see how far the Suns want to take it. Obviously the show who’s boss approach worked greatly here with Butler.

Simply put, yes.

But that’s not realistic and if anything makes us seem desperate and then becomes pennies on the dollar deal. Like i said you have to have one motivated team that really wants that player in order to get any sort of deal like that. Orlando was not taking no for an answer and made an offer hard for the Grizz to refuse . I just don’t see anyone wanting Herro like that and if they did he would be with Orlando right now with that godfather offer. Herro’s here to stay. Hope for continued improvement.

Oh for sure, we’re not getting that from anyone but if you can include him and assets for a star type player or offload him for 2-3 1sts to reroute for a star we should be exploring it. No one knows; this deal came completely out of nowhere

I dont even want two firsts for Herro.. ill take one first.. but if someones willing to overpay, it dont even have to be at the level of overpay orlando just made, it would be 2 firsts and its a no brainer

If hornets called, offered brandon miller, nurkic and a top 20 protected first, im sending his ass packing.

That is true, brandon miller has a higher ceiling, is a better defender, and will probably be a better player already this upcoming season

Orlando was clearly in the market for a two guard and just so happened to have the ammo to seek out the player they really wanted. Not Herro not Simons it was Bane and they paid a heavy price. Simons will be the next two guard on the block and the Blazers would be lucky to get one protected 1st for him.

Don't forget Heat and Suns had talks during the entire Butler fiasco as the Suns was originally the only team Jimmy wanted to go to.

Return to Miami Heat
