Lol.

There has to be a way to do that because NBA teams do that all the time with players overseas, they hold on to their rights but let them play for someone else.

man you need to chill.

We will have traded a future second -that is NBA talk for nothing. It's a punt on a guy in a no lose situation.

Hopefully we can get Curry & Kabongo into summer camp. They're both going to have plenty of invites though.

There are many players to invite to the camp. C.J. Leslie, Myck Kabongo, James Southerland, Seth Curry, Kenny Kadji, Vander Blue, Trevor Mbakwe, DeWayne Dedmon spring to my mind.

This kid will be stashed overseas, with JJ, Battier, Miller and Allen we have plenty of wings.

I don't trust any Heat draft picks, except for Wade and Caron; all others have been major busts. Scouting is not the Heat's forte...let's face it.

Haha the Heat front office has officially beaten any draft optimism out of this fanbase.

I actually like this pick a lot. The truth is, a wing off the bench for us is never going to be putting the ball on the floor. Between LeBron, Wade, Chalmers, and Cole, we've got a lot of guys ahead of our back-up 2/3 on the ballhandling food chain. We need guys that can D up and shoot -- preferably athletes that can keep up with the athletic wings of Indiana and Chicago. Our early rounds exposed our lack of athleticism off the bench. Battier and Allen looked stuck in cement against Indiana. Ennis gives us a potential 3&D guy with the athleticism to crash the glass and finish inside and the length to force turnovers.

And if he doesn't pan out, it cost us nothing.

The Heat front office gets hell for drafting bad but look at the draft history. We never keep our draft picks, Since 96 we've only had 8 first round draft picks and only 3 were in the top 10 ,in my opinion 4 of them worked out as in Butler,Wade,Wright,Cole thats 4/8 in the draft and if you can go 50% your doing a good job. We've had 18 2nd round picks since 96. Riley doesn't like to draft so when we keep our first pick its worked out at least half the time.

I wanted to see the HEATLES beat the Celtics THREE TIMES in the playoffs in the big 3 era.
They are now eliminated from that since they are rebuilding.

But no worries, we still have the PACERS & the BULLS in the running to get beat THREE TIMES in the playoffs in the big 3 era.

Honestly, Boston still might get 8th seed.

Someone explain how The sixers could trade a 2014 pick if we have their pick if they make the playoffs? But now since they are rebuilding we might as well package that with someone and clear a roster spot and some cap space.

The Pelicans are the one who traded a 2014 protected pick to the Sixers.

Wade wasn't considered to be that good at that time either. It was his strong performance during the tournament that pushed his stock, but he was never considered to be in the class of a James or Anthony. Thus, it speaks for our scouting staff that they went against Riley's suggestion of picking Kaman and opted for Wade instead. It's always easy to claim "Well there was no talented player available afterwards" without first looking at the stock the respective players had back then. The Durant/Oden choice or the Beasley choice of us are great examples of that.
