Most think their opinion is obviously, without a doubt, the right one too. :)

I've always been the the guy who believes in chemistry over stars and starting.

I'd have Yurt, Bam, Duncan, Strus and Lowry as starters. I'd have Dedmon, Tucker, Butler, Herro and Gabe as my bench.

If you could get Jimmy to agree to coming off the bench, I actually think it would be really fun to watch and the starting unit would be great to have for bigger teams. Then having all that scoring power coming off the bench would be hiliarious because other teams would have to change their rotations compltely to match up.

Y’all are a tough bunch to please. If you were former lifelong Hawks fans like me you’d have committed suicide some time ago lol.

I’m as critical as they come, I didn’t enjoy watching Kevin Durant until the last Olympics. But knocking a 51 year old coach who is chasing down Greg Popovich for his insistence on small ball and nitpicking a player who has a net +19 rating and one of the Top 3-5 game-reading triple double posters is quite off base to put it lightly. The chemistry on this team is top notch; I can tell by Dedmon’s manner among many other factors.

If Oladipo comes back spamming dribble drives instead of jacking off there truly isn’t anything to complain about. The point differential will be around +7 and the Heat will be a shoe-in for the Con Finals if fully healthy.

If the team can trade KZ for a future protected 2nd just to open up a roster spot it expedites signing Martin and a buyout insurance PF. Also allows us to add another two way.

Miami could always send out KZ and cash (To cover his salary) for a protected 2nd so they can stay under the cap.

Its a good chance Martin is betting on himself for a big pay day this summer. There been a leak that Martin is hoping to work himself up for 10 plus mill per yr this summer

Vet the attitude issues and IF the FO feels comfortable then HELL YES.

96 minutes of frontcourt rotation consisting of Bam+PJ+Wood is beautiful. A bought in Wood could allow Spo to run his "small ball" style all game long without giving up size.

I would think any player is doing that, I would be thinking Strus, Vincent, and possibly Yurtseven are thinking that too for after next season.

Martin to me is a good rotation player but could also be a poor to possibly decent starter.

Christian Wood would be in the best situation he could possibly ask for in terms of vet leadership and a chance to win a ring. His skill set and size gives a perfect compliment to Bam. That Bam-Wood-Tucker front court rotation shores up a giant weakness on this roster. If we could sell Wood on a 30 min plus role off the bench gobbling up all the minutes behind Bam and Tucker while getting to play with both in different sets would be massive in upgrading this teams front court and building us up to secure the championship this year while getting a player long term to put with Bam. We have Haslem on this roster for a reason so have him offer Wood guidance and let's start a dynasty here.

I'm not worried about Martin or any of the other players. Let them test the restricted market and if someone wants to over pay so be it.

C Bam Adebayo C Dewayne Dedmon
PF PJ Tucker or PF/C Christian Wood PF Markieff Morris
SF Jimmy Butler SF Caleb Martin
SG Max Strus SG Tyler Herro SG/PG/SF Victor Oladipo
PG Kyle Lowry PG Gabe Vincent

That's a mighty gameday 12 right there.

This is why championship teams also favor vets who have made their money and are playing to have a chance to win a championship or just for their own enjoyment.

It's possible a guy like C.Martin who is wanting a big payday could start looking for his own stats vs doing what's best for the team.

It's possible Miami gets some added depth at the PG spot with DJ Augustin in this deal as well.

The same can be said of starting center Christian Wood. The 26-year-old has been subject to interest around the league, and sources say Miami has been one of the more persistent teams in engaging with Houston on the versatile big man. But barring a blow-me-away offer, Wood should remain in Houston past the deadline, sources tell The Athletic. He’s averaging 17.5 points and a career-best 10.3 rebounds per game.

I've mentioned in the past that Miami would be interested in Christian Wood. You are another member of this forum who has also been interested in Christian Wood, Panda. His contract fits perfectly into our salary cap. Although Christian could play alongside Adebayo, I have a feeling Bam could be involved in a trade for someone like Bradley Beal.

God I hope not,

I think long term Bam is better for this team then Beal.

I have really liked Christian Wood for several years and was hoping we could grab him. I have softened on him due to his off the court conflicts. I don't think he is a " Heat Type" personality, but who knows. If we listen to what we hear, we were told Butler was straight up Cancer.

Thought a trade was in order this season and this rumor only confirms that. Not sure Duncan + fillers is enough to get that trade done unless we’d be willing to trade an unprotected 1st round pick. Yurt may be a good piece in any trade but I get the sense Houston may be chasing picks

Bam is not going anywhere. We are trying to find a perfect front court partner for Bam that adds size and outside shooting. We have enough at the two guard spot with Strus, Herro, and Dipo.

We fell in love with our players, but this is a much better team capable of winning the final.
