Re: Off-Season Volume 7: Hello Darkness my only friend
ICC is the energy a lot different now that Miami have seen the offer sheet from Boston? From your recent updates it seems we've gone from having certain advantage to uncertainty. Is it still favourable for us the longer this takes?
The fact we're still in the conversation indicates we're still in this. We're still Kd's top destination.

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

Because Simmons is still on the Nets? Do you think Simmons now has value around the league?

I could’ve sworn I saw this same account say something similar for another deal
I forget who it was…I think it was KD to the Suns or Mitchell to Knicks last week

This Vin dude has been making insider predictions for years that never hit. I guess when you spin the roulette wheel so often you’ll get it at some stage though.
If we roll out Jimmy and Caleb as our 4 rotation next year man…

If I never hear anything else about Durant or Brooklyn after this, I would be so happy.

Re: Off-Season Volume 7: Hello Darkness my only friend

I saw a Kings fan suggest this lmao. He was like the Nets get a starting lineup of Kyrie/Herro/TJ Warren/Harrison Barnes/Bam lineup with a solid bench (Patty, Davion, Duncan, Joe Harris). Kings get a star in Simmons for cheap, who is All-Defense with shooters (Huerter, Malik Monk). Miami tries to win now with a starting line up of Lowry/Dipo/Butler/KD/Holmes with Strus and Vincent off the bench

Anyway about the Butler 3. Miami had 22 secs left, a timeout, were only down by 2, had momentum, at home.
Jimmy... even IF he made the 3 pointer, Celtics down 1 point with 16 seconds left on the clock. Coulda lost anyway.
Such a low IQ play by Jimmy.
Low IQ shot without a doubt.
My brother and I were left looking at each other and wondering what the hell did just happen, why the shot?
My brother, a very casual basketball fan, if that, turned to me and said it should’ve been a 2 points attempt to tie, and a possible foul could have been given to go ahead.
None of us know ball better than Jimmy or anyone on the Heat, they all loved the shot. It was the right play. Jimmy was gassed after backpacking the team, he went for the kill shot. If he misses he’s wrong to the fans; if he makes it it’s one of the greatest shots in Heat history. There’s no inbetween
no thats not true. If Jimmy makes the 3, Celtics get the ball, down only 1 point with 16 seconds on the clock.
Means nothing. Any basket and we lose anyway.
It was a terrible shot, and the Heat are just kissing butt.

Someone tell me how brown is better than Bam. Does the 4-5 extra PPG on worse efficiency cancel out the fact that bam is better at literally everything else?
Like give me a legit argument as to how brown is better, not just a bunch of troll bs

He isn't. Bam brings more to a game than JB...no doubt about it. If we include Bam, then we have a better offer over one centered around JB. In fact, if we include Bam, then Herro should not be included. We would need Herro to try to get a decent 5.

Re: Off-Season Volume 7: Hello Darkness my only friend
I think the hold-up is Brooklyn's trying to get at least an All Star AND multiple draft picks.
So with us, we're dangling multiple picks + future star (Herro) and some serviceable pieces.
With Boston, they're getting the All Star they want but the Celtics are hesitant to include more picks/players (Smart).
So it will come down to whether they value more picks than getting an All Star, who can essentially walk away for nothing after 2 years.

I think they are pretty close despite what most think about Bam's deficiencies. I might give Brown the edge being a more complete well rounded player though.
I can definitely understand having a Bam bias though, there just really isn't a player like Bam in the league which is what makes him so appealing. Brown is a great player, he does what he does at a high level but doesn't really give you anything unique from the SG/SF position that hasn't been seen before. Bam's ability to legitimately guard any player 1 through 5 at an elite level while also having that potential for a offensive jump is what makes it so hard to want to give him up. If Bam ever realises that potential he'd be a very unique player in this league but until Bam shows that I think Brown has the edge.

Let’s not forget Brown is 3 years older than Herro too. He’ll be 26 when the season kicks off, Herro is still 22 and turns 23 in January.
Brown clearly the superior player right now, and doesn’t have the defensive limitations Tyler does. Brown at 22 though was 13/4 in 25 mins.
As Flip said above, Brown has 2yrs and then enters UFA. Herro they could take to RFA next offseason and match or S&T for other pieces, or extend if traded.
Ultimately, it all depends on what Brooklyn actually wants from this trade and whether KD’s posturing matters. Kyrie probably hasn’t said great things about Boston, and their fans reputations ain’t great. I wonder how much that matters vs the obvious fact Boston is a good basketball team.

Brown is better at one thing…. Shooting (not Rare), where Bam excels at Point/Center (rare for a big) and defense 1-5 (very rare for a big).

Whatever ends up happening, one thing is for sure -
This is the most disgusting, filthy, shameful gross off-season in NBA history.
I don't think there's one fan base that isn't fighting the gag reflex with all these extortions/demands/lack of loyalty/lack of team identity.
