I mean we're among the better franchises and have been successful more than most of the last 23 years, but ever since LeBron left, it's been similar problems. Horrible contracts, G-league rosters, lack of size, striking out on whales, etc. We had two nice deep runs since LeBron left. The bubble run was fun, but the second run was all Jimmy. Being 1 shot from the Finals last year doesn't excuse anything to me. They had chances to improve the roster and they didn't. Now the window is closed and the future looks questionable. In the end, they sacrificed so much in the short term for a deep playoff run and have nothing but albatross contracts to show for it.

This is why I hate teams that want to rebuild through the draft. MAXEY WAS AVAILABLE and Miami drafted a backup for Bam in Precious. I wasn't one of them, but there were a lot of vocal people on this board wanting Maxey instead of Precious. It is so hit or miss in the draft, when you can add a good or great player and use draft picks to do it, you should do it.

Herros a nicer piece as a bench gunner anyways. It allows his frame to conserve energy and if he's hot he can close.

He needs the alpha energy or he regresses apparently.

Herro should just be Jamal Crawford or Manu off the bench for a team. I'm not saying he's on their level, but that needs to be his role on this team or another team. He's not a starting SG IMO. At least in his current form.

We continue to wonder why the offense is so bad but every time you look scrubs like Gabe Strus and Herro are taking as many or more shots than our 2 best players. Literal recipe for disaster
