Small is good when you have lots of speed.. and can shoot threes at 40% to create spacing and driving lanes for the speed guards. But when have guys like Max n jimmy who chucks up bricks.. the opposition will pack the paint and you can’t score. this roster construction if just awful.. we can’t shoot, and we also can’t rebound cuz too short

Breaking news: Awful roster construction using dark magic to succeed over multiple year stretch in playoff basketball. Stay tuned for more at 7

No matter the outcome, I'm damn proud of this team. Go Heat!

Yes please!! Imagine how dominant Boban would be in the offense/defense being the literal hub for everything we do on both sides of the court!

The most dominant team in the East over the last 4 seasons has lucked their way into all this success year after year led by a head case who sabotages every team he goes to and rookie Joel Anthony! This fan base is so smart!

Hes on the trade block regardless of what happens. The problem is who is willing to bite. awful contract, one of the untradeable contracts in the NBA and the first year of it has not kicked in yet. Should have let him seek an offer sheet to match, we would have matched it at a 40% discount, or let him walk. Bad salary cap management

If we make a comeback and go win a chip. Herro and the young core stays, why would you trade them. If we don't then he's for sure getting traded.

Has there been any Jimmy for Lance Stephenson passive-aggressive trade suggestions yet?

If Herro somehow magically pulls of the most amazing comeback ever by coming in to this series shooting 50% or more while scoring upwards of 35+ppg single handedly pushing Miami to win the series on one of the greatest comebacks ever, yes the odds of that however are what 1 out of a Billion.

A part of me thinks maybe this is just mind games by Spo, but last year he threw a heavily injured Herro out there in a game 7 for like 7 minutes despite the fact that he couldn’t move.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Herro sees some time tonight

Just hoping we can get an athletic PF next to Bam who can shoot. Bam is a major part of this team and a key reason we always have a chance to win it all. Some just have extremely off the wall expectations on the type of player you want him too be. We need better roster construction and more raw talent around Bam and Butler plain and simple.

ESPN said that Herro has been in contact practices for 2 weeks and is just taking precautions to his return. He might be ready to go fr.

I don't expect anything from Herro except for him to further tank his trade value.

The expectations are fair. In a salary cap league and with the new onerous rules you're gonna need your two best players to carry the offense. In the previous series Bam wasn't doing enough offensively and guys like Caleb, Gabe, Duncan stepped up. In the finals I think he's been good on offense and Butler been MIA. It's a different series and be competitive is we had the Butler from the first two round series. As much as everyone wants to get on Struss and Caleb in drop of production Butler is the main reason this is likely a 5 game series and not a 6 or 7 game one. And he's probably hurt if we had to guess.
Getting a PF to Bam would be ideal but its unrealistic we're gonna get some elite especially if we are going in the 3rd star route chasing Dame/Beal. More than not, its gonna be a min or undrafted guy next season

The problem is that those types of players are so expensive in the NBA. I’ve heard Celtics fans say that they think Grant Williams will want 18-20mill per year.

Honestly I’m hoping that we see internal improvement from Jovic and Highsmith. If one of those two turns into a real rotation player next year that would be huge.

Other than that I would like to see love back on a minimum if he’d take it and maybe we could steal back Jae Crowder from the Bucks on the cheap. He’s a free agent and it doesn’t seem like the Bucks liked his stint there much.

Jae is washed but he’s not a horrible bench 20mpg option.

Plus we have pick 18 and Duncan and Lowry’s contracts. Potentially that gives us multiple options. We could just draft a young athletic wing and develop him or we could potentially try to move the pick and one of Duncan or Lowry for a PF. Maybe one of the clippers guys.

I’m pretty optimistic about this offseason actually. Even if we just focus on realistic stuff and not Dame dreams.

Will Manso on 560 WQAM (paraphrasing):

The team is loose. Herro looks great and will provide a spark, but it’s not fair to expect him to save the team. Zeller has been working on dunking over a giant potato. Someone left a Guangdong Tigers jersey in Max Strus’s locker.

If only Kentucky had a PF in the draft that we could draft at 18. That’s one way the FO would get this done.
