Bam about to get shafted again for DPOY as we will never take the regular season serious after getting 1st a couple years ago. It is what it is unfortunately

Either would be huge pick ups for the Cavs who Donovan Mitchell has sitting 1 spot ahead of us at 4th despite being without Garland and Mobley majority of the season.

I can't think of a better defender in the association than Bam. He does it all. Might not get the guady counting stat numbers that some do, but there's no player I trust more on the defensive end.

Looking at the PG trade options, it's a damn shame that we weren't able to convince Jalen Brunson to come here. I know we were rumoured to be in on him late, but he took the NYK option for obvious reasons. He'd have been perfect.

Tyus Jones is represented by Kevin Bradbury of Lifts sports management. The president of Lifts is Mike Miller. UD and Mike Miller currently have a pod cast together called the OG’s. Could be something could be nothing.

Cavs are in it to make some noise in the playoffs this year.

What I imagine the Heat likes about Tyus is that he's a "winner" and big game player. I think he was Most Outstanding Player for that Duke team that won the chip, the one with Winslow and Okafor. Miami likes guys who come from proven organisations, well coached, and winning pedigree.

My only hesitation with Jones is his size, and the fact he's more of a pure point. Spo doesn't seem to like those types. He wants a bigger, defensive minded combo who can hit the 3 at a good clip and doesn't need the rock on offense. Anything would be an upgrade on Lowry at this point though....

Tyus is 6’1 196 and Lowry is 6’0 196. Schroder 6’1 172. Tyus has 24 pounds on Schroder.

I dont even want to begin to imagine what those talks would have looked like. Remember we didnt have cap space at all and we would have to be dealing with Cuban to workout a sign and trade. I dont think anything else needs to be said.

It’s gotten so bad that even Spo started speaking up about how ridiculous it is that he hasn’t won yet lol which is funny because it’s even worse that Spo has never won COY

For sure, I’m sure Mitchell will bounce back this year and continue his usual elite postseason play too. I hope Pat and Co are working hard behind the scene, we can’t sit on our hands this year

Hey may have been a big game player in college but that’s far from the truth in the NBA playoffs. He’s been horrible and that’s as a backup going against 2nd units more than not

How do we get Schroder and Tyus?

That's makes things much more complicated. Schroder going to the Wiz gives them a replacement PG for another year with Tyus most likely not signing there. Gives them a buffer till they are able to draft there PG of the future. They just picked up Bagley who's also on a small 2 year deal. Also keeps the compensation down to only a pick swap from us. Everybody goes home happy in this deal. The Heat get solid PG depth and still have J Rich to mix in. We also have the sweet spot of 16.1 million coming off the books next year that gets us from under the tax with plenty to resign Tyus Jones to a cap friendly deal. We also retain our trade able draft capital of 2028 and 2030 as the 2027 pick is still locked up by OKC holding the 2025 or 2026.

I'd rather keep Duncan tbh and I would feel disgusted typing this last season. Klay is damaged goods.

Here is the thing. you're likely to get at least 30 points from Thompson than you could with Duncan and Thompson contract is expiring this year. Duncan is a great player to have as a member of Heat if his salary is lower.
